I happen to remember that, in the book, Bella first went to Jake after Edward left, to have him fix the bikes so she could hear E again. She didn't spare him one single thought when Edward was still around.
I guess you just had to put your fave character where he doesn't belong, push him into Edward's already limited time, have Bella being all friendly with Jake in front of her freaking boyfriend ( but he has his shirt on? wow that's like a rarity lol)
J/B weren't close before the big breakup, they only became close after.
Melissa, you f*cked Twilight up, you added scenes to explain some things better, but it only took away from E/B, and most of those added scenes were pointless anyway. This one is pretty pointless too, can't believe Weitz kept that.
I'm quite tired of Summit's promotion, they're focusing too much on the whole 'love triangle' cr*p, while ignoring the whole Romeo and Juliet plot of NM. (Hopefully it's just cr*ppy promotion and media hype and the movie gets the story right)
I guess we know what to expect from that official scene and the new NM footage at Scream Awards.
plus in the movie companion book they explain that the dream catcher is like a foreshadowing of events. so the viewers will know what will happen to bella and that jacob will appear again later on. besides, jacob is NOT a subplot anymore once you read bella goes to him to help her fix her bikes! he becomes a part of it all. he is not a secondary character from book 2 to the end. believe it or not. or ask the author yourself.
as for the shirt on/off? u KNOW him and the pack are usually shirtless throughout the books. its a given they will be too in the movies.

Trust me I am calm. Today is Wednesday. 36 days until New Moon. And I have good friends, my health, a job, and a positive attitude. So maybe if some people took that outlook then they could see the good in the actors they don't like. I have done that with Robby boy-o and I gotta tell you Nutty, it has made a world of difference finding 1 positive about thing about him. It has not made me a Rob lover, but not being a Rob hater has removed a lot of negative stuff from my life. EVERYONE should try it!

So when you watch the movie, keep count of how many times you see Edward - go home after and re-read the books and see HOW LITTLE he is in it.
Then re-word this and get down on your ungrateful knees that suckmit and the directors and writers did what they did, because believe me this movie would have sold with Eddie-boy in it as much as he is.

Definitely long-haired Jake all the way!! As long as I'm around my avi on here will always be a long-haired Jake one. I know he pretty much said he wanted to burn the wig afterwards, but I will miss it tremendously! ;o)
It was a behind-the-scenes footage video that was posted on here a few months back. It showed him getting some pointers during the garage scene with one of the assistants, sitting with Kristen in the garage goofing around before a take, trying to get the logistics right for the scene where he jumps from the porch.
It also had a bit of Rob at the end where he was shooting a scene from school. I remember people were ticked because the screen cap when you clicked on the video had Rob on it, so most thought it was all about Rob, but it really only showed him a few seconds at the end...the rest was all Taylor. I recorded it to my phone and love to watch it every now and then.
Edward is wearing the same shoes that he was wearing in Italy!

Yep..I'd rather have chocolate-coated ones. I'll just have to stop down in his office later...he has a huge candy dish that he keeps on his desk..free for the taking of all the staff. Needless to say he restocks it at least once a week. :o)

Actually...just took the kiddos to lunch and took two starbursts from the dish..cherry and strawberry. The chocolate is now gone--that doesn't take long at all! My "ibm"? What? LOL
No great stories to tell as of today, but one of my students came up to me this morning and out of the blue said, "I can't wait for New Moon!" I told her how psyched I am too, and of course she then tells me that it comes out next month. Wow...if she only knew all that I could tell HER! LOL She's "Team Edward" but I told her I still liked her. LOL ;o)
The nails are doing fabulously! LOL!! I have a running joke with one of my students, whose sister painted his nails pink when he was asleep, so I made sure that I pointed out to him today that I redid mine last night. He just looked at me and shook his head. Par for the course around here. They love me but just don't want to admit it. LOL

I took a look at the link that you sent to show your project, and that is one fabulous looking assignment that you have to turn in my dear friend! So...I'm really stupid about this stuff. You mentioned that it was done in "cube." What exactly does that mean? It looks really nice, and for your prof to already say you're pretty much guaranteed that "A," that's great! What a good feeling, huh? :o)
That internship that you were talking about awhile back, any other word on that? I hope things work out to where you can start to get your foot in the door.
Zumba the other night was great! It was good to be back, but since I hadn't been in awhile, my muscles totally forgot what it was like! ;o) Used to be that hour would pass in no time flat, but that night my friend looked over at me and said, "We still have a half-hour." Through ragged breaths I said, "Yeah...I know." LOL I'd like to go tonight, but am still feeling very icky from what I mentioned to you last night.
Which reminds me...stayed up late last night talking to ILA, then took my meds this morning for "pain," which contain codeine...so yeah, I'm in GREAT shape for work today! LOL ;o) We have an early dismissal today and then a meeting in the p.m. Like usual, hope I can stay awake at the meeting. :o) No school tomorrow due to special teacher meetings at the state capital, but I'm not involved so I get the day off. Works for me!
Yeah...my students are pretty young for this, but a lot of them were introduced to it through the first movie. Last year I had two students that had read the all 4 books, and they brought them to school to read during their own time. Their parents knew they were reading them, so not too much I could really say. So many of these students are "street smart" and have seen so much that seeing and being exposed to this really doesn't come as a shock to me at all.
His sister DID paint his nails....PINK! So that is the huge running joke here in my classroom. He has the most awesome sense of humor and is a-ok with me "picking" on him about it. In fact yesterday he told me that he would paint his nails pink in exchange for something he wanted to do here in the room. I told him that doing that wouldn't even be enough to try and get what he wanted!
Oh..today one of my students just invited me to his b-day party. He said they're going to have the band of all bands there. I laughed, played along and said "Really? And who would that be?" His response.."KISS." I tried so hard not to laugh and in all seriousness said "So KISS is coming to your b-day party?" "Yep..my dad is calling their manager." LOL Oh the stories just keep adding up all the time. ;o)

I am not sure what is happening with the internship.
My mother is pushing for me to do it at the place she works, which I think would be a bad decision. I am TERRIFIED for it, and I know that if I do it where she is, I will rely on her.
So I asked her about a company that she kind of is linked with, she is going to ask them.. It is a "artsy" newspaper magazine thing.. but it has a lot of sex ads, so we'll see. lol!

rest. The story of my life. When I was in middle school I would walk into
the office, the secretary took one look at me, knew EXACTLY what was wrong,
called my mom and I went home. Never failed...pretty much every month. Now
it follows me and continues even as an adult. Hate it!!
At lunch today all had were some saltine oyster crackers and
Sprite...combination of the meds upsetting my stomach but also just the
"glorious joys" of being a female. Ugh!!
I absolutely HATED leaving, but so many of my colleagues were like if you
have to leave, today's the day....just a 1/2 day mtg. you're missing and you
don't have to worry about a substitute. Sooo....after a LOT of going back
and forth on the decision I decided to come home. Knew I couldn't sit
through a meeting feeling that way.
So now I'm off to heat up that rice bag, lay down, and catch some zzzzzzz's.

Luckily all I missed was the meeting, and like you said, they'll be good about filling me in. There are three of us that teach 3rd and we are so close it's crazy. We have two male teachers in the building, gym and 3rd grade. Needless to say we've "trained" our male counterpart very well. ;o)
I do have tomorrow off and am so excited! I plan on getting some grading done but also remembering what it's like to be on here throughout the day and enjoy it. Hopefully the avi situation will be fixed. Very few were showing earlier, then DQ decided to change some of them back to the original avi that people had when they started posting...and I was one of them. I tried to change it but it wouldn't let me. It said they are aware of the problem and are trying to fix it.
You know, since I don't have Twitter going to my phone, I wasn't even thinking about the DMs and how it would "ring in" with each new one that's sent. No problem at all. I just feel bad that I didn't even think about that earlier. Thanks for letting me know.
Oh...and remember how I told you I have that little plaque that says "Don't treat me any differently than you would the Queen"? Today one of the girls in my class drew and colored me a picture that said, "Miss JMNP...she's nice and cute...and she's like the Queen."

Yup...we all go down as a class a couple of times a day, plus they have a chance before and after lunch recess. They definitely need the structure. That's the hardest part at the beginning of each year is teaching them the classroom "routines." How to turn in homework, where to line up after recess, how to head their paper, how to let me know if they're packing or eating school lunch. Just things like that that people don't even think of but have to be addressed in order for things to run smoothly.
Oh man, they are sooo observant. The same girl that mentioned the necklace and nails then said "I like your shoes. They always match your clothes." The other day one little boy asked why I always seem to wear the same necklace (which I don't but that's what stands out in his mind). Last year one little girl was fascinated with my nails (crazy, huh?) and always took notice whenever I changed the color.
Actually the picture is still at school. I get so many pictures that are drawn or made and I hang them on the wall behind my desk. You should see some of them...they're wonderful. At the end of every year I take them down, pick out a few that really struck me, keep them, and pitch the rest. If I kept all I would have no room at all for them!

Well appreaciate that I "rock" because it is an absolute pain and dread every month. Some are better than others, but you never know what it's going to be. Honestly, after the day I came home early, I've been fine every day since. Crazy how you can feel like you just want to be put out of your misery, then a few hours later it's like nothing happened at all.
I do have a Twilight shirt..the one with Edward/Bella where he's holding her close. Last year we had a spirit day where the teachers dressed up like the students, so my fab 4 and I (we're all in the same hallway and are so close to one another) went out and got Twilight shirts. At that time that was pretty much all that was left because it was in April and there weren't any others to choose from. Needless to say, the kiddos absolutely LOVED them! I wore the shirt with my "Team Jacob" pin. How odd was that..LOL I am bound and determined to get to Hot Topic within the next couple of weeks and get me a Team Jacob shirt. The one that I want, where it just says "Team Jacob" and has red claw marks through it, I can't find anywhere but online. I hate to order online! Too many possible problems. I could do like a pre-paid Visa though.
I refuse to answer if my students sweet talk and compliment me..that's information that could later come back and haunt me about being conceited. HA!! That seems to be the running joke with RFM, myself, and you, and it's so funny!!
Structure is sooo important at this age. I remember when I used to substitute for Kindergarten sometimes. You had to do pretty much EVERYTHING exactly the same way their teacher did it because they were so routine driven and had a hard time dealing with change. Luckily with my students being older they can deal with things being different for awhile, but when I'm there..it's all about routine and structure.
Oh....the "Loser Heifer" thing. LOL...The other day I got 3rd on a post and ILW got 4th, and she made a comment saying something like "Wow, you heifers are fast." I made some silly reply to her and she replied that "heifer" was a term of endearment. I told her that for you, "Loser" was the same thing, so I must now be a "Loser Heifer." LOL !!

Only one thing bothers me though and that is this scene doesnt seem to be one from the book. Bella doesnt become close friends with Jacob until after Edward leaves so I can't help but feel a bit annoyed with the fact that some of Edwards limited time on screen is being taken over by Jacob and Bella who are in it throughout.
no one will be around to watch eclipse.
that's my theory.
I am miffed they added this scene, it really goes against the grain of the books.

It is like a slap in the face of Edward. When in the reality of the story Bella doesn't even acknowledge Jacob's existence, until months after Edward has left her, and she remembers that Jacob is good at fixing motorcycles so she goes to him, because she wants to risk her life to hear/see Edward.
So this is the first thing I have seen of the NM movie that I have blatantly disliked. Not to mention that Jacob giving her the dream-catcher at that point (before her birthday party) is completely illogical, and a total failure because Bella has nightmares for months after Edward leaves her. So this whole additional scene seems completely unnecessary, and it takes away from very important Edward/Bella time...
I'm sorry but I don't like this at all...they should have added new Edward/Bella scenes!

As much as I agree with everyone on the whole Twilight thing (I still detest the field trip scene and the fact that Melissa just HAD to make Jasper be in the same grade as Edward, Alice, and Bella) I disagree for this scene only because a month or so ago I bought the first draft of the script to New Moon and (assuming they didn't change it too much) this scene was in there. And in the first draft that I read, it's an extremely short scene that's actually pretty cute and it comes off more like Jacob just has a big crush on Bella and tracked her down to give her a birthday gift. Not that he and Bella are mega close and hang out all the time. And of course, what would a good Jacob/Bella/Edward scene be without some funny/awkward tension from Edward and Jacob? ;-)

Yup, they added this, Bella didn't talk or see or even think about Jakeypoo until later in the book, when those months passed and when she remembered he knows how to fix bykes...but I guess this speeds things up...it's a movie, they don't have that much time I guess :), aslo it shows that he had feeling for her a long time before they started hanging out.
