the characters in the twilight series change over time, you see different sides of people, but Jane stays the same, her part is only small but she's getting lots of credit for it.

Well honestly i think that the part isn't really that small, if you think about it. we still have the other books. she has a big part in the near end of Breaking Dawn.(if she is still gonna play Jane then) But still that is a good point. I don't want them to change anything. I am so nervous. I don't want this to turn out like twilight. They left out most my favorite book parts in twilight movie.

I agree with you, and it would be incredibly annoying. To me, Jane is a very minor character in all the books. She has a lot of power, but she's not the leader of the Volturi, so I feel like the role would be somewhat ruined if they tried to shove her in it more just to give Dakota more screen time.

The part that says "almost black" is referring to the cloak she is wearing, not her body. Dakota Fanning might not look just how we picture Jane, but I really think it's such a small part that it doesn't make that big of a difference. What I can't understand is how such a famous actress would be willing to play a small part. Personally, I think it would be better if the films continued their trend of picking actors that aren't very well-known but that fit the part pretty well.

You guys must not have actually read the books. In what way does Dakota Fanning look like Jane????. Jane is described by Stephenie Meyer as having lank, pale brown hair with a body that was almost black, wide-eyed and full-lipped. Just check out page 456 of New Moon. PLEASE keep it real for the true fans of Stephenie Meyer.

I highly doubt that she's read the books. When he asked, she said that she hasn't read all of them but she's seen the movie. Then everything else she said about Jane was completely basic stuff like Jane's mean. She's part of the Volturi. She's pale.

Don't get me wrong, I think she would be great as Jane. Did anyone else notice this as well?
