In the article it states that the extra's coordinator Told them to boo him in his car because he had asked him to come out and Rob declined. It sounds to me that the coordinator had the problem and that he should have been reprimanded. It might be different if the director would have asked Rob.

Yes, the extras were out in the heat and it would have been nice if he would have come out to see them but I don't think that the extras coordinator should have presumed this or instructed them to boo. They were working on emotional scenes which were also demanding to the actors and to presume that the mob of extras were "owed" something, in my opinion, was wrong.

There is an interview the body doubles gave and were asked about Rob refusing to see the fans. Well, his double said that it was the security guards he had that would not let him go out in to the fan crowd.He was even going to for go his lunch to see them, but security said no.
I wouldn't blame if didn't want to a large group like that could really be frightening.

He is shy, and he had to be in his role...You are totally right, I mean Edward wants to kill him self. Every actor is different, they can't just switch their mood like that. They should've left him alone to do his job in the way he likes it.

I totally agree if you are an extra, you should be grateful to be a part of the filming process and not trying to sabotage it.

We've all seen the wonderful gift he has been hiding under there for us :) So i think he should be forbidden from covering it up ever again :)

Well, I HATE to be a hater... because I think Rob is fantastic BUT... I think he should have at least gone out and standing a good distance away, he should've thanked his fans! I know, I know, it's overwhelming for him and I feel terrible for him becos he has hoards of fans screaming at him all the time, but a quick wave and thank you would be the right thing to do, in my opinion. I heard they had fans flying in from all over Europe just to get a glimpse of the guy and I'm sure that if any of us were to purposfully wait for a chance to see the guy, we'd be a little sad if he denied to even look at his fans... Sorry!!! But I still adore Rob - he's really great. And I still think it was wrong for them to have boo'd at him... they could've walked away with grace... in the end, I reckon the whole situation could've been handled differently, with a better outcome!

If I was an extra I'd be extremely grateful to be a part of the movie, and possibly I'd hope to get a snapshot with rpatz, but "crying" because he took his shirt off?? A little bit too dramatic if you ask me. I wouldn't blame him for not wanting to get in the crowd of fans...the last time he did, he was literally hounded and harrassed. As for boo-ing him, that was shady and immature. You can't force an actor to greet you if he doesn't want to. Rpatz has a choice in the matter, and everyone has their good and bad days. For crying out loud, lets respect their privacy and space!
