which just proves me right that the hairstyle is wrong this story takes place in the modern days it shouldn't look like that^^^ + he looks like fruitcake. He lost his creepiness & coolness he had In Twilight. I am so sadden cause Jasper is my favorite Cullen

the gelled, slick look made him look so badass. now he looks like some girl with short curly hair. it is SO not the hot and sexy jasper we have come to know and love in twilight.

everything stays frozen, but in the twilight verse the hair can be cut. It wouldn't regrow, it would just stay short. (Stephenie meyer said this sometime ... I think in relation to rosalie, because rosalie would have to look out for her hair. Because if the ends are split, then that would be that.)
It's because the hair is a somewhat dead body product. (pun unintented. that's just a lack of words.) But parts of the body grow together again because ... well.
As for ,Edward, he was turned in1918, men during that era wore their hair slicked back or parted in the middle or to the side. I'm so glad that SM didn't describe his hair in that fashion in her book.
Rosalie was turned in the 1930's, and women's hairstyle during that time was either short or long but worn in a bun close to the neck, so her's is an exception,it's actually more condusive to the 1940's (ie: Rita Hayworth, Veronica Lake).
All in all, I'll just be glad when New Moon comes out in November!!! I know it will be a great movie visually.
But anyway....I don't like the sideburns. They're very unattractive.
but in Twilight (book) he is Jasper Hale, as Rosalie's twin.
but then again he is considered a Cullen.

I DISAGREE I actually thought the OPPOSITE his Twilight hair looks more modern to me + Cool. But this hair looks like it was taken straight out of the Renaissance (that's how old this haircut looks to me!!!) + it makes him look like a fruit cake!!!!

EVERYTHING on ALL of the Cullens looks SO much more polished. Jasper's hair doesn't look like they coated it in a thick coat of gel. Does Jasper really seem a gel guy? C'mon now. Its way more natural this time around. And they don't look like they painted their faces white. AND their clothes look actually kind of expensive this time around. Go Chris Weitz.

btw realize how the NM hairstyle is combed down. That's too hide his baldness!
in Twilight hair it was combed up which made him look like he was Electrocuted & Yes it parallel that he "looks like he is in pain" that hair freaken rocked *sigh*
I can't stand the sideburns on this look. They just really REALLY bother me.
The hair itself is fine, it's just the sideburns that kill me.
Second, Jasper looks like he should. His hair looked permed in Twilight, and the last time I checked they weren't perming hair during the time period he was "changed" in. I mean, his hair is wavy and he has side-burns like they did back then. Quit gripping people, he is MUCH truer to the Jasper character this time around!

They are saying my Jasper looks gay? Are you kidding? What....because he actually LOOKS THE PART?!? I thought he looked horrible in Twilight. I didn't like him at all as Jasper until I saw him outside of the movie. Do people even KNOW HISTORY??? I mean, that is how men looked during the Civil War, Old South. Good freaking grief.....don't get me started....
And we have a new director, there are going to be changes made! And in my opinion, the changes are for the better. I still like the first movie a lot, but I know that the director got quite a bit of creative freedom with a lot of things. (SM still made sure the key elements were there) But I still think she should have kept more in mind of their appearances, since they're vampires who were created in era's long ago, and are permanently preserved in their state, so they should have features that still remain from that era. An example would be his sideburns, I may not like the way it looks, but it's historically accurate. Did anyone read anything about vampires shaving in the books?
And their hair (whether it's Alice or Jasper) is just styled different! It's the same length, its not that different! Who says vampires can't style their hair different? People are comparing too much with the first movie, when they should appreciate that this new director is being more accurate with the books. Heck, its the books that started everything and made us love it so, so I'm more than happy that this director and all the crew are honoring them! All those complaining... remember the books dang it! REMEMBER THE BOOKS!

ONE LAST RANT... Read the freaking books again girls!!!!!! The vampires DO NOT change in looks, personality, etc...once they are changed! Jasper was changed in the 1800's so he should look like he is from the 1800's, NOT the 1980's bad-perm era.

Jasper's would be someone to dress tidy, to keep Alice pleased, but the hair wouldn't be something he'd focus on, he wouldn't spend a lot of time on it as the original hair looks. More natural hair suits the character [and Jackson].

I looks so much worse than what it was.
1) He was turned in the civil war. that hair cut is totally from that time period. Makes a lot of sense styling his hair like that.
2) It really doesn't matter which is cuter... its better when it looks how it is supposed to.
(ps) Oh and hale is his cover story last name. It's Rosalie's real last name. His is Whitlock. :)

Kristen may look like a nice Bella but she really needs some acting lessons. Her scenes are the least believable of them all. I have to say that the humor of the movie, the smart ass remarks, are spot on and great. Jacob, Alice, Charlie, Carlisle, all of them are wonderful. Can we please just edit Jasper and recast the two main characters...

I do get that they are stuck on how they were when they were changed...but again, what happened there... he WOULD use gel to fit in more, something that person who did the hair forgot. Imagine walking in a high school with this!!! I don't care that, in book, humans naturally cringe from them because that would not happen here...everybody would stare!
Bring back the old one :D or just try to go for his natural look...sideburns, the one's in Twillight were great...this is like a bloody Jane Austin movie, and even that if he was playing a guy that had a thing for sideburns. He was young when he was transformed, he was a soldier and that says that he would not have a hair that has come out of the text book.
