The 'good friends' is Rob's standard answer and it's true, regardless of the relaysh(whether they are or aren't), they're still ultimately good friends, like he has said, he sees love as evolution of friendship.
I vaguely remember Zac Efron was saying the same about Vanessa, while she was already his girlfriend, he was saying she's his good friend, just left the part she's also his GF out of his interviews.
Celebs often do that, 'deny' to protect, Brangelina, JayZ and Beyonce anyone?
It seemed that even the author didn't actually believe there's nothing there and felt the need to put disclaimer there, saying the relationship status of those two may have changed and changed again by the time you're reading this'. And like Gossipcop reported, right before she turned the interview in, she contacted the reps of both and Summit and they had no comment to make when she asked to once again confirm or deny, what actually was already in the interview.

He did not deny anything, well he denied tabloid rumours which, even without his denial, I know are BS. BTW the interview was done 5 months ago, it's November now, and it's a whole different story.
He even said in Japan, like Edward, he sometimes lies to protect 'her', the person that is important to him. So I wouldn't put it past him to say this in order to...protect her lol
I wouldn't treat any celeb's words as gospel truth, just like I don't believe anything tabloids write about them. Actions speak louder than words.

Like she said, if people didn't care so much, maybe she would answer the question. It is her life, she can live it how she wants to, and she has every right to keep things secret about her life. The stories will be made about her anyway. According to the tabloids, Robert and her have already broken up and gotten back together at least three times. She doesn't need to feed into this frenzy anymore.
Anyways, I don't even know if that rant made sense. I will just end with saying that I am a hardcore KStew fan, she is a very talented actress, she is very intelligent, she is very unique, she knows who she is and isn't afraid to show it, and she is a good role model for anyone.
This has been a major gripe of mine for years -- young actors being expected to be a role model for our kids. When they SAY they want to be a RM, then it's one thing, but until they do I think it's unreasonable and unrealistic to expect them to be.

I think she comes off in most interviews as genuinely herself and don't think she tries to come off as anything she's not.
I don't see how she isn't managing her life...I don't even know what you mean by that. The point I am trying to make is that she lives her life the way she wants to, she isn't changing just because she is now a bigger star. She is not someone who will sit down with some media person and answer a question about her personal life if she doesn't want to.
In no way do I agree with what you said about her being rude, angry and insulting to the fan base. At one point she made a comment about the fan base that was taken completely the wrong way, and she explained herself. I think anyone would be flustered if they suddenly were thrown into a franchise with a fanbase like this, where everywhere you went people would know about it, yell and scream when they saw you, where paparazzi follow you around and take pictures, etc.
She is a role model for me, and I am not going to back down from saying she is a good one. I see a role model as someone like Kristen, who is intelligent, who does what she loves doing, who doesn't change or conform, because she knows who she is and she is proud of it. I can go on and on about how much I love Kristen, and how she is a great role model. Why does she have to have grace? That isn't necessarily who she is, she shouldn't have to change.
Maybe if they would back off her and Rob it would be confirmed either way. Whatever it was, I'm glad she addressed it that way. Go Kristen!

I don't want to act like I know her personally, or anything like that, but I feel like in a sense, she likes being in the spotlight because it means she has an easier time getting to play parts she really wants to play. But that doesn't mean she is comfortable in the spotlight. It seems to me that, recently, she has gotten more comfortable with interviews. I love that, because when she speaks, I feel like she is so intelligent and has so much to say. For example, when she is asked questions about Bella, I feel like she takes so much time to answer the questions truthfully, and it seems like she has thought so much about the character.
I think I just went on a KStew love rant of my own, so I am sorry if what I said has nothing to do with the post about her interview about whether or not she is going out with Rob - I know what I said just now had little to do with that, actually. But, again, I am a hardcore KStew fan, and I will take any opportunity to write a love note about her, because I love Kristen that much.

I will admit, that sometimes I feel pretty hypocritical, because part of me really wants to know if this whole "her and Rob thing" is true. I sort of bring it up on this site, and then people tell me what I want to hear, which is "Yes, of course they are, I read it in an interview." But I think reading this article just reminded me that Kristen is in a tough position with answering these questions, and it really isn't anyones business what the answer is. I will continue to go on long rants about her because my love for her keeps growing, especially with interviews like this.
I apologize to everyone if I seem hypocritical. I don't mean to sound like I am not interested in whether or not her or Rob are going out, because I am. But more than that, I want Kristen to be who she is, and sitting down with some journalist or media person and telling them that she is or she isn't going out with whoever is not who Kristen is, so I applaud her for that. I don't think any of us really know why Rob and Kristen won't just admit it. We don't know if it is Summit forcing them to stay mum or Kristen wanting to stay private or Kristen wanting to KMF to all of the paps or a collective decision by Rob and Kristen to just keep their relash private because that's how they are.
Whatever the reason, it is their's and I respect that. They should not have to answer just because a select few need a confirmation. That is their perogative and personal life.
It's because of this fixation on are they aren't they that is fueling these type of interviews, like VF.
Harper's Bazaar was a Robsten photoshoot, but never once did the infamous question come up. Props to them.
And we know there are people out there who now think this means that they are together, and it's a definitive answer... It was nice to see HB be classy and NOT come out and ask the question...
But that engagement shot could be taken in so many ways. It's off-putting how literal it is; a cynic would not want to believe that ish. A cynic would claim that it's a picture mocking the media. Yet, any Robsten fan would say that it proves they exist.
See how Robsten work us. We'll never know the truth because they know how both sets of the audience think.

Everybody knows that something is going on. I think that it is safe to say that. Whether you define it as dating, hooking up, friends with benefits, being in love, whatever, it's there.
If they weren't then they would just say no. But they always have to come up with some off the wall distraction as an answer, almost showing admittance.
The magazines are getting ridiculous. I can't blame them for wanting to not answer after that is all anyone cares about anymore.

And to be honest....I'm conflicted about the "low-life-ness" of the reporting community. On one hand, I say "ya...these people are exploiting others for personal gain...totally not cool." But on the other hand I think, "This is these people's job...to ask the uncomfortable questions that everyone wants to know but few want to ask...plus...we criticize the medium but how often do we critics view the fruits of their labor." The fact that we’re all commenting here only increases the demand for jobs like these.
In any case...I think this is just yet another ode to the crass commercialism that IS our global society. Privacy is unfortunately becoming a thing for the history books.

So the only thing left is Robsten, who know what we want and what the media want and won't satisfy either of our desires because their priorities are where they should be, which is more than what I could say for ours or the media's.

Whatever is going on... I agree with Kristen on some level that it is their business. But I can honestly say that know matter how difficult it is to deal with people's opinion about relationships, i don't think that I could ever be the type to hide mine. There are not a lot of good relationship out there and when there is I think more men and women should express their happiness.. That's one of the things I like about Eva Longoria.. I'm not Kristen, and I'm not her biggest fan, but I have a feeling that when people ask her, "Are you doing Robert Pattinson?" no matter who it is, she dumps them into the "You are a piece of s*** that's not worth my time or class" pile.
And because that pile is huge, total strangers snapping pics of her and asking her that private question 100 times a day- even though they know her reputation for being "difficult"- she's going to give them a hefty load of difficult.
You see it as no class. I see it as her reacting as any human would to the crass and rude questions the media ask her without the dulling affect of media training. What we see other "kinder" actors do is not normal, IMO. They've been conditioned to roll with the punches; but Kristen doesn't roll. Kristen punches them all right back.
She has EVERY right to speak her mind freely, especially to the very people who infringe upon her right to privacy.
However, slander isn't within your prerogative. You just might want to include
"I think" or "In my opinion" when you are writing poorly of someone else.
Freedom of speech only goes so far.
When I was speaking in terms of slander, it was the actual definition not the legal term. What you just wrote.. "I thought.." is a lot different from "She is". That little bit of a change could help you avoid a lot of controversy in the future. Take what you want from it... or take nothing... I'm just trying to help from my past experiences.
The more the media knows.. the more they want to know.. which really goes with what Kristen said "Can I have your firstborn child?" Anything they tell us will never be enough, so they have to draw the line somewhere.

Do I think they have a relationship... I believe that they are super close because there is no way you can work with some one for months on end and only be with them doing emotional scenes that your own heart is not gonna respond to that person. yeah the test was okay, but i was SERIOUSLY sooo mad about the speaking test!! like and i didn't study for that at all either... i wrote up the little paragraph the night before and barely looked at it, and i memorized it all and i met ALL the requirements!! i got done and he goes "well you should have put more vocabulary words into your description.... You could have done better.." thats exactly what he said! :( i mean i had words in my description that we haven't even learned yet!! but he wanted our recently learned vocabulary words in there... which i didn't know!! ughh! yeah and he was having everyone go in alphabetical order and so i was like one of the first people to go.. (Carter) :).... after i went the whole class was asking me what the test was like and how it went so i told them to make sure they put our recent vocabulary words in their description, so everyone changed their stuff and now everyone else got better grades cause i told them what he wanted before they went!!! UGH. lol
