I mean have you ever heard of being humble? Like damn, i hope he doesn't get the roll, even if Taylor isn't going to be Jacob..but it would be so kewl if he could play Jacob because of his martial art background.
AND I am totally pissed at summit why the hell didn't you think about this before you casted Taylor, maybe if it was like Steven Strait or somebody who could play off being a lot older than they were, It wouldn't be so hard........dumbest choice ever.

I'm not trying to be mean, since I just finished twilight (Haven't started New Moon yet) but I think that the actor who played Jacob in Twilight, Brought a lot more to the character then the book did in some ways. SO i don't know everything yet but :)
Only because in the book, Jacob did for the most part, smile and flirt with bella. Not really add an extra.. Umph to the book. So I think the actor who played Jacob did a really good job of it, and also seemed to look the part very nicely. :)
So I hope this new guy, walks the hell away =X

um, jacob was the guy who walked around and smiled and likes bella...in twilight. what colors is he talking about?? that right there shows me that he doesn't understand the character of jacob black at all...im not convinced that he's actually even read twilight. if he didn't understand the character from the first book then there's no way he can potray jacob in new moon especially when he's only reading cliff notes!
At first I didnt like him just for the fact that he was potentially replacing Taylor.. that is, until I went onto his Myspace and stuff. He seems like someone who is way into himself who really is a nobody. Hes always promoting that stupid girl band that he has and like every single movie and tv show hes been in. I'm sorry, but I really cant stand guys like that. I really started getting a bad feeling towards him a few days ago and now this just settled it. This guy seems like a real asshole.

He could have just said he was in a movie once, he didnt have to give out the name and such.

I dont even think that he even really gets Jacob =| I mean, no one can fully get Jacob unless they at least sit and read New Moon, which he obviously didnt if he only read the cliff notes.

I think my quest in keeping Taylor in this movie has actually changed to keep Michael out of it.

i used to think that if in ANY case Taylor couldn't play Jacob in new moon because of the height, bigness whatever, reasons, this guy could be good for the role, because he reslly looks like a grown up version of taylor, (although i've always prefer taylor) but now it's totally OFF, hes a dick, completely UNPROFESIONAL, cocky and obnoxious!!!!!!! he hasnt even read new mooon.... just went to "cliffnotes", OH PLEASE michael, you have NO idea whi jacob black is, or what the whole saga is about.

It is evident in the way that he talks that he does NOT understand the series. Cliff Notes? Seriously? You can't understand a story as epic as Twilight by reading freakin Cliff Notes.
The point is, yes there IS growth that needs to happen from Twilight to New Moon. I don't quite understand how he thinks Taylor should have portrayed Jacob.. It wouldn't have made ANY sense if Taylor played a Jacob who was madly in love with Bella and understood everything about her.. His feelings are supposed to grow. The whole point of New Moon is Jacob becoming a part of Bella's life and understanding her more and becoming her best friend. Obviously Taylor had to play it a little more I don't know what word to use .. fluffy I suppose opposed to the deep rooted love that will surface in New Moon.
Michael Copon, if you get this role, I will seriously throw tomatoes at my theatre screen. Summit, pls make the smart choice for once :|

Besides, he's been working out since he got casted for twilight just to be big enough for new moon. he's dedicated. he's put on 19 pounds of muscle just for the role. and besides, he needs to grow DURING the movie, and just can't be the full height at the beginning, it would make no sense.

Like honestly, if he's this cocky he's going to make the whole cast pissed. He's also stupid if he thinks "cliff notes" is enough to show him who Jacob really is. You need to read the WHOLE book buddy. You need to know Jacob inside out and since you haven't read the book like Taylor, you already lost. Fans everywhere are going to be disappointed if Copon plays Jacob. He's too cocky, he needs to know that he's not the only one trying for this part. Helloe, did he forget about Strait? Such an asshole... And also, he might crave the spotlight, since he mentioned his movie like, 6 times in other articles too. Height and age, are not the only thing these parts are looking for, they need attitude and character, which is where Copon fails.

1.)You talked trash on Taylor Lautner (someone who actually made it into to Twilight...unlike you, sir.) because he isn't "physically right for the role?" DUDE!!! He's been in the gym everyday for 3 hours straight and put on some extra muscle for this role...Way before New Moon even got the green light. 2.)How can you even think of being considered for such a role if you can't even commit and do the work? Jacob Black isn't a character to you. He's a joke, because only a Genuine DUMB*SS with no freaking clue would be able to sit there and say you basically got the idea of the story AND the character by reading Cliff Notes. Scratch that. Dear Summit,
I don't think someone as COCKY as Michael should play the part of ANY character. I'm sure he would eventually just tick off the entire cast of the movie, resulting in bad acting, resulting in a horrible movie nobody wants to see. Things can be done to make sure Jacob's look is okay in the movie, they could use graphics or whatever. But they don't want to, because it costs money. But New Moon would bring in more money than it took them to make the movie, plus they have all the money from Twilight, which is more than enough to pay for new Moon, and they haven't even released it in all the countries, yet. Michael says there is more than "one color" of Jacob black in the movie, but if he actually READ IT, he would notice that there isn't much of Jacob in it, anyway's. And if he read "cliff notes" of New Moon and Eclipse, what DOESN'T make us think he's too lazy to play the part since he's apparently too lazy to read the books? Since he only read "cliff notes" of New Moon and Eclipse, he shouldn't be acting like he's the best person out there that can play Jacob. Everybody, fans, actors, directors, they learn Jacob's personality through those two books. You cant read a 500 page book with a character that has about maybe 20 pages and a few "cliff notes" and then say you know that character, unless those 20 pages gives a full biography. And, I remember watching "The Scorpion King 2", and Michael's character had a girl following him around, and he didn't want her to go with him. Jacob has Bella come to him first, but he wants her to come back. Then, he has a secret he cant tell her and stays away from her for her own good. I barely see any similarity in those two stories, and I'm sure the other people who have commented on this topic agree with me on everything I've said. I'm sure, if he's this cocky and he's trying to attract attention to his movies, like when he named his movie like that, he might have been trying to attract attention. Who says he isn't going to do the same thing with Twilight? And Summit, I swea r you'll have to face some VERY angry guys if you cast this idiot. DON'T GIVE UP TAYLOR! We love you!
