IN every god damn interview they are all like, "they were both great, they just have different...styles"
You can SOOO tell they are dieing to say,
"Chris is SOOOO much better than Catherine! For a start he doesnt attepmt to come up with stupid 'funky, cool' ideas on the spot and add them in even though they make NO sense at all and were never actually in the god damn book!"
If one of them said that I think i would give them a standing ovation!
I guess the best im ever gonna get is "well chris is a lot more controlled..."
and im very contravercial about spider monkey, i really like it lol
and theres loads of other stuff like the dream sequence kissing bit - all i can say is thank god that didnt fit and they couldnt put it in the movie, her dreams about edward arent sexual...yet!
CW has so much more taste when it comes to special effects, thank god he thought to get rid of the sparklying sound, i mean since when did edward jingle when he sparkels? LOL

I love how everyone keeps saying that Catherine's style is "chaotic"...gee, maybe if she laid off the mind-altering hippie drugs, she wouldn't have to worry about that. And she might make a little bit sense. That is just their way of saying "She sucks"... LOL

I doubt any of us have ever seen her not ripped out of her gourd, but I loved Twilight, even if it was a bit cheesy in spots.
I hadn't read the book before i saw the flick, and I thought when Bella got to school and saw Edward, the faces they made looking at each other were so dang funny. It made sense after I read it, but before that we were laughing so hard. Especially when she wandered into Biology and dude was acting like he was gonna puke. The fart spoofs on that scene are my favorites. I just rambled on for a long time and realized I never reached a specific point. SOrry. :) Uh, Ill go now
"You're like my own personal brand of heroin!!!!" or whatever the F he says. See, in the book, that was joking statement meant to lighten the mood. In the movie it was like, "EMOEMOEMO!" and that just didn't work. Yeah Catherine, have them be all super serious with THAT dialogue. That won't be unintentionally hilarious AT ALL.
She seems like a cool/fun person to hang out with

It has been obvious from the get go how much Chris has invested in this film and I love and respect him for it. I did not think Rob could get any hotter, but Chris made him hotter.

Very "artsy" type person. (Which we know that many "artsy" people love to "explore" their creativity in "creative" ways.
Some of the things she did were very weird. Like worrying about the budget, yet wasting money filming scenes that she knew weren't gonna' make it into the movie, just for her own personal pleasure. (i.e. the deleted scene where Bella gives Edward "a taste". That was SOOO out of character for Edward that their was no way for it to make it in the movie.)
I will give her this though...
She did an AWESOME job choosing the actors for out beloved characters!!!
The Saga would just not be the same without them. So for that reason, I am glad she did "Twilight".
However, I am thrilled that Summit replaced her with Chris Weitz! He is doing a SUPER job. I do agree that the wolves need to be a little more menacing (though cuddly at times too, as Bella does cuddle with Jake/wolf).
I pray that Summit is smart enough to use him again for Breaking Dawn. He will do a great job with Reneesme, I believe.
I think Chris will do great. Hopefully the wolves will get alittle more scarier. My 3 yr old likes watching Jake turn into a dog (not that scary)
Oh Renesmee! I just can't imagine who or how they'll do it, but with the money they make from the other 3 it should and has to be AWESOME!
Let's hope Chris LISTENS to the fans and SM, and he will do a great job.
1. the meadow scene.
2. the makeup and wardrobe( bella look homeless and the cullens normal not rich)
3. edward's car (it was girly)
5. and maybe the most important, i thought everything was rush, like i said "where he came from w/those lines"
6. the dialogue (if mr doesn't do a good job as a screenwriter why don't you do something about it, wait don't, ex"spider monkey")
7.i don't feel the relationships like bella/ edward love, bella/alice sisterhood, mike/edward jealousy, etc.
8. movie looks low budget( i know it is but come on we don't have to realize that)
well to made it shorter what she did right:
1. the casting
2. the fight and baseball scenes
3. made the movie( but i am not sure to give that to her, b/c she was the want to gain from that, yeah she took a movie that nobody wanted to do and now we have the sequels but we have to understand that she was jobless and she made lot of money from it)

Hated the deleted scenes, what a rip off!!
I hope NM has better ones, and it'd be very cool to have a blooper reel, and lots more behind the scenes stuff....

The first thing that I look for and watch when i first purchase a dvd is the Blooper Reel, so when i saw that Twilight didnt have one, i was extremely disappointed. I hope that the New Moon has a lot more extras and bonus material cuz Twilight did not.
A blooper reel would have been AWESOME.
Maybe with the "bigger budget" they'll be able to afford one this time. ;)

1.b/c even if we don't like her, there are a lot of people that don't know what a good movie is.
2. they were glad for the cast she picked.
3. they were blind, like they try to think and put in their minds that it was good, that it was the movie from their beloved book, the movie the were really hyped about and were waiting for( like me, at first but i knew something was not right, now i could see clear)
Maybe she didn't do enough drugs??? There's an alternative theory.....lol
If they had chilled her hell out with massive doses of horse tranquilisers.....she might have calmed her ass down enough to make some kind of sense.....

I think He just gets it....he really understands what Edward and Bella are all about and he knows what we, the fans want......and that's for them to stick as closely to the book as possible.

I saw the movie before I read the book, and when I read it I was very very dissapointed with the movie :(
Now with CW I can see the book in the movie..
NM is going to be a phenomenon, lets see how many box office records it breaks :)
He's doing an excellent job with NM, and I think he would do just as excellent with BD. and the cast love him.

Did you see The Golden Compass? I mean all the graphics were amazing. No Doubt every CG thing will be amazing too. I can't wait to see what a great job Chris has done with the BEST SET OF BOOKS in the world. :)
Things come out much better when the job is done calmy and planned, which is something I think Catherine didnt do.

I think she tried but she didnt stay close enough to the book. I do give her credit for the kissing scene though, she made them redo it to perfection.

NOT to say the trailer didn't rock my socks, Im just saying I was bummed the wolf was so.......well, let's just say my daughter calls it her puppy. She's 2. She loves the trailer cuz of the puppy. The wolves are supposed to be mind numbing scary in Bella's eyes. I thought it was cute, but not giant and terrifying.
I just hope that gets improved. Other than that rock on CW. And also I like your hair, good sir.

Catherine = Upon reviewing the behind the scenes junk on the dvd I realised something. She reminds me of a chicken with it's head cut off, running around not knowing it's own arse from a hole in the ground. Total chaos. Who, by the way, I just read (roommate gets Entertainment mag afterall) she is remaking Hamlet. But in her own way. I will let the Hamlet fans ripe her a new one.
Chris = Espresso sipping, laid back, ho-hum mellow dude. He knows what he is doing. He has his junk together better than AIG bank with 80 billion dollars.
I *heart* Chris. Honestly...I would rather Eclipse to have been pushed back. Give Chris enough time to put together New Moon, and then begin on Eclipse. I adore him.
This was a good description of Cathering TWP... lol... I won't be spending my money to go see her rendition of Hamlet... that scares me.
With what David Slade has done, I can see them using him for the "new borns", but in my opinion, I'd rather see Chris do Eclipse (my favorite book) and use David to help with just the new born stuff... I am a little scared I have to say... I hope he (David) doesn't make it too scary of a movie, I always looked at that one as the funny one.
I can understand why David was chosen for Eclipse. More importantly I understand the fear of him directing. Basing my impression of 30 Days of Night I'm okay. He mixed romance and suspense very well. The ending of that movie nearly brought me to tears. I just wonder how the wolves will look compared to New Moon. I wonder how the make up with compare and everything.
I definitely cried at the end of 30 days, I'm such a sucker for that! ;)

i really want Chris to do the rest of the series!!!! it seems like he has done a great job with new moon and the whole cast loves him and thinks so and obviously want to work with him again. maybe he will be assistant director or something but hopefully he will definitely come back for BD!!

When I first heard he was hired, and read his little letter thing on stephenies website, I just had this feeling he'd do a great job.
With catherine, I didnt. I was scared actually.
Chris is handsome and his voice makes me melt. Hes intelligent and takes this movie very seriously. He sticks to the books, and unlike catherine, his ideas HELP the movie not completely flush it down the toilet.
I want Chris do do Breaking Dawn, and hopefully redo Twilight.
