I am not team Edward anymore, and I'm not team Bella. (And I would never be Team Jacob anyways.) I was team Chris Weitz for a while, but because of all the bashing going on in regards to Kristen, I AM TEAM KSTEW!
For all those wondering where this rant is coming from.....it isn't coming from this discussion board, or website, it is coming from other websites, and I feel like taking my anger out here because you guys are so awesome.
Kristen works with the hottest young actor that turns grown women into amoeba and little girls into shrieking banshees yet she's still sane. Applaud her for that LOL.
Seriously though, all those people who read NM and expected Bella to be a blubbering whimpering idiot throughout this scene fail to realize how utterly shocking this break up is to her. She cannot imagine her life without Edward. She cannot live without Edward. And he not only breaks up with her, but he abandons her indefinitely, after he promised he'd never leave her in Twilight. How could Bella have any sort of emotion after he cut a hole into her heart? That's why she falls to the ground and effectively loses consciousness. She metaphorically dies after he leaves.
I'm so sick of hearing these Kristen haters. She's Bella. There won't be another Bella. Get over it. Move on. Dang.
I know those screaming girls won't be gone from the theaters for weeks, but....I will have to make do. And practice my kicking before I go to the theater.....LOL.
I loved how Kristen pulled off the breakup scene. You can see her trying to make sense of it while he is saying it to her, that even when she yells that she is coming with him, you can see she really knows he won't let her, he has already made up his mind.
I like what they did with the scene. They kept it close to the book, yet changed it in a way that worked for the screen. In the book she shuts down, she works through everything in her mind. On screen, you can see the scene has that element, but they let Kristen do more with Bella. She shuts down, almost from the beginning, but she has a will in her to fight.
Sorry, I really don't know how to be clear about what I was trying to say...I'm super hungry/tired...
people want to see a break-up scene that is commonly seen all the time..i love that scene and love kristen's look and expressions..people will alays complain and it's stupid when their complaints are trying to deviate from what's actually in the book..
note to the haters and complainers: 'if you are going to complain; please know what the F you are complainng about and don't try to add your own effing sh*t to the movie"

In the book, didn't Bella NOT cry for a long long time after the breakup? She just pretty much became a zombie and started having nightmares....maybe she cried when woke up from the nightmares...but that's it.
The book was already spoilery,now things are way out of hand-leaked script,leaked sneak peeks,plus the trailers&the pics galore,what's left to see in the theater??
I don't know if I should be sad or angry at myself,for giving in and having watched EVERYTHING that has been released/leaked...
It def ruin the theater experience for me..

Turns out both the film and the book were pretty neck and neck in the jacked-up department. I honestly wouldn't have read the whole saga if not for the reunion scene in NM. That scene has got to be the best scene in the entire saga because of the suspense and the immense pay off. And NM isn't even my favorite. Eclipse is.
Liked the reunion as well, think NM will be galaxies apart from Twilight.
But yeah, the first three quarters were clear. She wanted to have her cake and eat it too. She's young; she didn't realize how much it hurt Edward and Jacob for her to be so selfish because she was so selfish. That's what I think anyway.

Twilight was the first movie that I ever had a problem with kids, teens, 20 somethings and even adult women screaming and talking throughout the whole movie.
I know you want to discuss the differences when you see them, but PLEASE wait till after the movie. Geez. It took me 6 times to see the movie before I could watch it without some girl interupting it. What happened to theater ettique (? spelling).
I'm taking my niece to the first 2 shows on the 20th, back to back, she's getting a ditch day for it. I was hoping that there will be less people in there. At least she knows the rules when I take her to movies: #1 NO TALKING...#2 PEE BEFORE THE MOVIE because I'm not leaving.

I have always been bad about telling people to shut up, whether that is in
class, or during a movie. But I won't hold myself back if they do it during
New Moon. It is rude.
I was so annoyed last year, when I saw Twilight. Every time any new
character came on screen they would scream, and they were laughing at
Kristen so much I wanted to shut them up.
I just don't get them, they don't seem like real fans when they scream like
that during the film...
I yelled at my cousin and my sister(they're 11 yrs old and im 13)when they were talking while i was watching a movie with them..even if we're not in a theater i still get mad that they're talking while i was watching a movie!!
I get that fan girls are excited and they want to show it but i think that mostly why most people hate twilight because they're getting annoyed of the girls screaming about the cast..
I want to watch the movie quietly (they can scream before and after the movie) I've been waiting months to watch this movie..meaning i want to heat what they're saying
I had to watch Twilight 5 times before I got a theater anywhere new quite. I feel like standing up and screaming SHUT THE F**k up! I can still remember the first time I got to watch Twilight by myself, at home, quietly. It was absolute magic.
This is why I have decided (at least so far ;) that I will not watch New Moon when it come out. I know its going to be pure torture. (I've just finished reading Twilight and New Moon for about the 12th time and then watched the movie again. ) Somehow I will deal with it (or not ;)

I hate those guys that think they're so smart that they can just make random comments throughout the movie and then others clap for them... what a bunch of stupid monkeys... or the ones who cheer on the actors.. I mean, come on, really?!... what the heck r u cheering for, can they hear you!?!... spastics....
But the kicker, my all time favorite p'd off moment at a theater where I literally wanted to go apecrazy on someone, was when we had waited in line for an hour, on a hellish crowded sat nite, they finally let us into the theatre, everyone is walking in and an employee of the theatre yells: "YOUR WASTING YOUR F*ING TIME, THIS MOVIE F*ING SUCKS!"
yep, the sh*t hit the fan.... lucky for us, someone else hit him....!
I wanted to say, I have watched other kstew movies and her acting does not bother me at all. In Twilight that is not such the case, its just a bit less appealing. However, I am a true twihard and have watched, read about everything I can that the twi cast does, including Kstew.
And I will point out, in one such interview, she was not going to be bella, b/c she was filming Adventureland, something, she and that cast had been working on for a while, she says she felt she wouldn't be able to put her whole into the character of Bella. But once she got a hold of the book, she really wanted to be part of it. She said filming both movies at the same time was very stressful and that may have taken a toll on her acting in Twi, however in Adventureland, it was perfect. I too do not understand the reasoning behing the babbling hospital scene but will give her the benefit of the doubt.
So far it is clear, her acting is much better on NM, perhaps b/c she had a less stressful schedule, and I am very pleased.
For those that do not understand her reaction in the breakup scene, it may be perhaps they do not know/ understand what a true love lost is like, they perhaps do not understand the emotions involved. It is shock b/c the thought that THAT feeling (of love) will never end is shattered. Makes perfect sense to me. But I do not dwell upon the ignorance of others.
The only negative thing I have to say about the whole breakup scene, was that I absolutely HATE her jacket/coat and that is my opinion.
Also, I don't think they're seeing the scene as actors would. Crying is not as effective as trying not to cry or being on the verge of crying or all the emotions preceding crying. If Kristen went from 0 to 100, the shock of Edward's abandonment would not have been as heartbreaking IMO. Kristen knows it's a long process of shock and denial and depression etc. Crying is the final stage before acceptance.
And people are expecting her to show tears because the love of her life just left her..but she never cried until she woke up seeing Charlie and Renee packing her stuff for her to live with her mom cause Charlie doesn't really know how to handle the situation
The same with Rob and Taylor.
I for one love and adore her and think that she has done a fabulous job in New Moon.
From what I have seen in this movie, Kristen has really stepped up her acting for this movie, and I thought she did a great job in the first one. New Moon is probably the hardest one for her, at least in terms of the span of emotions her character experiences, from heartbreak, to depression, to what's the word for her recklessness/hearing Edward? (Something like crazy, even though I know she wasn't crazy.) She also has to portray someone, towards the end of the film who would literally walk into the arms of death if it meant she could either save her true love, or at least see him again. That takes guts, both for the character (obviously) and for the actress trying to pull it off.
I could say so many good things about her - I feel like she deserves more recognition, and from what I have seen of this movie, I think she has done a tremendous job, and made great strides from where she was as an actress in the first one.
On a serious note, I don't think she was completely on her game in Twilight. There are moments where I almost cringe at her acting, like the hospital scene. But I don't think she was so bad that it warrants full out bashing.
I don't mind criticism for her acting. If you don't like her fine. I get that. But the blatant bashing that some do is uncalled for. I think she is a very talented actress for her age level, in the elite group of actresses such as Evan Rachel Wood and Ellen Page. I think she is going to blow people's minds in Welcome to the Riley's and The Runaways.
But like I said, I'm biased.
The hospital scene...she did make me cringe. But I think it was more that whoever wrote that in the script made a mistake. I don't know how she could have pulled off whatever was written in the script and made it uncringe-worthy. LOL. For that scene, they really should have stuck more to the book.
But like you said, I don't think she was as awful as people are saying. But in NM, she is back!!

Rob still overplays some parts and the frown is sometimes irritating as much as the one bigger eye-look. he still needs to gain some nonchalance in roles that arent dorky in their synopsis, cause he was brilliant in How to Be ("I'm dominating" in the basketball game...)See I am being objective. and Taylors pr sells him out as a sweet kid with tight abs.

Robs fans defend him against critics, Kristens fans have to defend Kristen against well non-Kristen fans that simply aim to hurt her. She didnt give her best in Twilight, I can say that, but The director that shall not be named has a job to do too, its called giving directions,editing and providing an environment where the actors can concentrate on acting and dont have to fight against the cheesiness.
Kristen is grounded, confident but still sensitive.
And thirdly, I agree with you. It's hard for me to be objective about any of these actors because I am so invested in them at this point.
But I think it goes both ways. There are people out there that truly despise Twilight and the actors, and no matter what they do from this point on, they will still be hated.

Chris says one good thing about most of the Twilight fandom. they are not cynical.
Edward was really doing what he thought was best. He underestimated Bella's love for him, he was being both selfish and selfless. Selfish in the sense that he thought no one could love to the same extent (let alone more) than he could. Put another way, he thought there was absolutely no way Bella could love him half as much as he loved her. He was being selfless in the sense that he knew leaving her would break him, but he was willing to do it for her.
The way he pulls it off in that scene is incredible. I just think that scene is great, because you can see how, from Bella's point of view, it would really seem like he didn't care. But you could also see that his character did care, that he literally had to take breaks in between talking to her to get himself together to be able to say something in a way that would convince her. He had to work to hurt her enough to convince her. And the kiss on the forehead...incredible. It lasted just long enough to show he cared, and not long enough for Bella to really take comfort in what he was doing and question whether everything he had said to her was true.
To be honest, the screen was so blurry I want to see that scene on the big screen to be able to analyze it better. But I know it's gonna be good!
And I agree with your interpretation of Edward. That was always the weakness with Jacob. I never got the sense that he would be willing to sacrifice his feelings for Bella's. Edward made a completely non selfish move by putting his feelings in the background for Bella. How much more perfect and chivralous and gentlemenly can you possibly be? I think that is the quintisential moment that I knew how much Edward loved Bella.
And Rob captures that to perfection.
It is good, its INCREDIBLE! Don't get me wrong, just don't do it. I regret watching it. It will be worth the wait, I swear. Sorry for giving so much away already....I don't want to ruin it for people. I will stop talking about it. Just don't do it, please. For your sake, it really will be better to wait for it. The quality is so bad, just wait.

Yes, I think they are in love, dating, exclusive, and having the best sex on the planet every night.
Do I have proof? Well, no pictures, no video, no confession.
But I could lay out for you why I feel this way, but it would take up this whole entire internet explorer page.
Long story short, I have been following them since before filming for NM started, and the way they look at each other, act around each other and have been photographed staying in the same hotels, coupled with the VF shoot, the non kiss at the Movie Awards, CC 2009 and Chateau Marmont, they are together in my personal opinion.
To each their own opinion of course. :)
Whatever, no matter if they are actually going out, there is no denying that they have chemistry, or that they get along really well, or that they are really similar in their personalities.
If they aren't going out, they must have to be working really hard not to, cause to deny what they have between them...wow.

think Kristen did a good job. I think it was in some ways, different from
the book, in terms of how Kristen acted during the breakup, (I am not saying
it was drastically different, just she was more outwardly expressive,
whereas in the book she has a lot of internal dialogue) but I think it
worked really well...

commentary part of the dvd...lol, because it was cool to hear Kristen and
Rob have fun with each other. I thought there were a lot of problems with
the film, but it's ok, because I have my fingers crossed that the second one
will be LOADS better!!!!
I don't really know where this KStew hate comes from, but there is a lot of
it going around. It makes me sad, because I think she is super talented, but
she is not used to this fame - the type where any time you walk out of your
hotel/plane/taxi/house you get bombarded with paparazzi - I can tell she
doesn't like it.

I just wanted to say I always thoght the "spider monkey" scene is very sexy and cute, I know people don't like that line, but I loved his face expression, the tone of his voice (slightly teasting) and Bella's adorable giggle. That scene is adorable in my opinion.
And I loved that C/E scene cuz u hardly saw any of the other Cullens....

New Moon got that out of their systems and they really can't wait to get there Rumpy Pumpy on.
I love how they both came so close, how he smiled, how she was dazzled. How i was dazzled. I LOVE EDWELLA.
I mean, their relantionship is supposed to be more romantic, more careful. There was no romance in the kissing scene. Appart from the first ten seconds, of course. In the book, it was so more magic, more sentimental and more "realistic". And that extended scene (or deleted scene, I can't remember now) when Bella dreams with Edward was the cheesiest part ever.
Those type of scenes are for Eclipse and for BD ... and for the real life, of course ! LOL
The kiss would never have been any good if someone else had done it. The fact kristen and Rob went with it and did it is beyond me. The fact they could pull it off. It's just bizzare, it just shows that the chemistry that got going on is better then anything people have ever seen before. Hence the reason i love Robsten like every other person.

New Moon is definitely going to be different. I think that we are the luckiest fans on the planet to have two people that are so in love in real life to play our Edward and Bella on the big screen and to be able to convey that love appropriately. If CH did nothing else right, she casted the perfect Edward and Bella.
We are lucky, like you said for two people who love each other just like Edward and Bella should to convey it on the screen to find each other like Bella and Edward did. It just fits. They go through the struggles just like Bella and Edward but then do pull through it.
It is the scene when Rob is off hunting, and Bella is staying in his room for the first time, and he buys that big expensive bed for her. He comes back in the middle of the night, and they have the late night makeout session and hitches her leg up over his hip. Yummy.

Just got Allure mag with KS interview.. I feel bad for her, she says how 15 paps at a time follow her always, camp out at her PARENTS house. Terrible, thats allot of pressure for a 19 year old, Oh and she reads the blogs also, takes what we say to heart. Hang in there Kristen! Get Allure mag, great insite on KS.

My problem is that she plays all her characters the same, so I don't see "Bella"... I see Kristen Stewart with brown eyes. And she also plays Bella NOTHING like I had imagined her in my mind, which makes me a bit biased to begin with. Maybe her performance in New Moon will change my mind.
As for Rob... he's GREAT! His acting is insanely dimensional. I watched Twilight several times, and each time I'd notice something that I hadn't seen before that showed how much though he had put into the role. Tiny little things that mean alot in context. :-)

Kristen can roll out of bed, put on what she was wearing the day before, not brush her hair or wear any makeup, and she puts Megan to shame. Literally.
Rob stated he had just seen Kristen in a movie and wanted to meet her. They instantly had chemistry and later Kristen told CH that she couldn't do the movie without Rob. I think Rob has proven that he doesn't let fame and all this other crap get to him or change who he is. He is really pretty grounded and I couldn't see him going for that freakin' Megan Fox and all her verbal diarrhea...(or her "oh look at me" attitude or her "i'm like Marilyn Monroe and will probably end up dead at a young age like her" or her apologizing to her fans for the way she wore her hair at the MTV Movie Awards...I mean...who does that?)
At least when he is talking non stop it's from nerves and is an awkward quirk of his...she is just a mess (My opinion). MF has stated in the past that Rob was "too pretty, too young and not experienced enough" for her. Whatever the h*ll that means. I think she got a lot of flack for it, personally. She then recently changed her tune. Too little too late MF! But she knows the deal and when they won that one award together (TCA I think) she spoke first and ended with something to the effect of...i'll get out of the way now so everyone can look at Rob.....DAMN STRAIGHT! She knows the deal.
They would never be together....and if they ever ended up together.....it would mean Rob had changed who he is....and that would be devastating to all of his MILLIONS of fans.
Those of us who love him may always comment on how HOTT and delicious looking he is but we also love him for WHO he is. His adorkable sense of self...he becomes more and more endearing to us the more he shows us who he really is. On the flip side we have seen KS in interviews and award shows and she see's herself as clumsy and a little odd...she also has not changed who she is with the success of the Twilight franchise so I highly doubt she was jealous and felt she had to make a move "To get Rob". The chemistry was already there....you can't make that up. I consider the options "Fluff"-MF or "The Real Deal"-KS....there is NO competition.
Rob is a very genuine, shy, introverted person that loves acting for the art of it, instead of the fame. Which is completely opposite of Megan Fox. And exactly the same to how Kristen feels.
It was only natural for Rob and Kristen to bond on a much stronger level then with the characters that they play. They are so similar in nature and personalities, and likes and dislikes, and the whole fame issue. Plus both of them are incredibly hot and down to earth, and confident about themselves. But they are also very private.
It was inevitable for them to end up together.
I think Kristen finally gave in because Rob is amazing and she pretty much fell in love with him the way all the fans did.
But again, just my opinion. :)
From my standpoint, it seems that Rob always had the hots for her from day one. She had a boyfriend, but was attracted to Rob. But a chick can only take so much. After spending day and night together and realizing how similar they were and how amazing Rob is, naturally she gave in.
That's the way I see it anyways.

When she gets out of the car and approaches him and he embraces her and they have their loving banter. It's the first Edward/Bella scene in the book and I want to see it on the big screen first. To some, this scene in the book is not that important to them. But this ranks as very important to me, it is a classic Edward and Bella moment, and I do not want to ruin it.
I don't think watching it will ruin the film for me, but I know that I will be so proud of myself at the midnight showing for waiting. Patience is a virtue, peeps!!

lots of things are happening right now. ok this will freak you out, because it freaked me out: yesterday someone killed two girls and throwed the bodies to a wall that is next to my room!! i sisn't heard anything and didn't found out about it till i woke up, and thankfully the bodies wasn't there when i woke up but i'm still in shock and freaking out cuz i'm alone right now, i didn't went to church cuz i have to study accounting. andapart from that tomorrow i start working i'm gonna be busy from 7am to 8:30 pm so i don't think i will be here that much. =( i hope we can still chat sometime. talk to you soon! This is the same shirt Bella wears in the AH clip when Edward pushes Jacob away. So if this is the same scene, I ask, why are they so close to each other? Where's Edward?? How could he let them get so close?? OMG 26 days is too damn long!!! Darn it!
I was like, "Whaaaat? Whhhhy?" Because this seems like it's AFTER the reunion, right? It seems to be the same scene where Edward pushes Jacob as you say. I can't bear seeing Bella run to Jacob while Edward is always there, waiting - yes, Bella drove me crazy in Eclipse! It's like, "Girl, what the HECK are you doing?!?"
I was amazed at Edward's trust and letting Bella go visit Jacob as she wished (though in the beginning he was very very protective and wary of Jacob and the wolves).

Maybe CW changes the final scene so that Jacob and Bella are in the forest speaking alone and Edward shows up and tears them apart? Because I do not see Edward and Bella going to the forest like in the book to meet Jacob and let Jacob stand two inches from Bella.

So, dear Summit, if u want make money for the sequels and keep everyone interested, not only the really fanatic teenage girls, stop selling TV spots to different sites!
i would think that they won't do all this with eclipse or breaking dawn. they shouldn't need to by then. or at least i hope not. because it has been SOO hard to resist watching all of these new clips. and i don't know that i'll be able to do that again for eclipse....
The worst thing I've heard is someone on E! saying "Summit knows that Twilight fans are so obsessed that no matter what they do, they'll still show up in droves and see the movie multiple times." It made the fans sound like mindless idiots. That is another reason I'm not going to go see it. I'm not that addicted.
I'm boycotting any and all Summit films due to the Rachelle recasting (the whole thing was just bad business, and seemed to follow the whole "they're too addicted to not show up" business mindset)... the overexposure just made it 1000 times easier.
Overexposure proves that the producers have bad taste. Twilight, allthough the budget was not so big, is more pleasant to watch, because of the atmosphere around it.

first of all i want to say that i'm so team kristen because i love her for years! she's just amazing as a person the same as an actress. i wouldn't have thousands of kstew pics on my laptop if she weren't. she'd done a great job in almost every movie she made. and i think twilight fucks her up. she wasn't as great in twilight as she was in adventureland or in the messengers, BUT if she were bad and terrible or whatever- why would so many people be amazed by her?
but i have to admit that i don't think she made the break up scene 'right'. of course everybody has his image, his own 'little movie' in his head..but she got it wrong in a way. WHY? read the book. she's not acting the way she should, i don't think it's all her faul. but yeah in a way she could have done it better. much better.and i hope she's amazing as always through the rest of the movie!
It's the ones that say Kristen sucks, Kristen is not Bella, Kristen can't act. Those are the comments that we don't like.
I have to agree a LITTLE bit, but I also know that the director and screen writer and everyone on the crew sometimes trump the actress, so like you said it probably isnt her fault.
On the other hand, we do see her screaming in her bed in one of the trailers, so I think in the movie we might just have to wait a little bit longer to see her emotions take over.

I don't like Kirsten Stewart as Bella. It's not because I think she can't act or anything like that, although I will admit I don't think her acting is great in Twilight. She's don't much beter things, in my mind.
I, for one, don't see the amazing chemistry that's suppose to exist between her and Robert. I know they are suppose to be a couple in real life and everything, but I just don't see the chemistry on screen. Maybe that will change once I see New Moon(I've resisted watching as much as possible) but I didn't see much chemistry in Twilight.
Kristen also just doesn't look or sound like I imagined Bella. Once again, this is just my opinion. I imagined Bella more pretty than hot and Kristen has that hot look. I think Bella should be this odd beauty and I just don't think Kristen, when playing Bella, is. Don't get me wrong, Kristen is beautiful but when she's playing the character of Bella she comes off as too plain for me.
