    maybe she isn't in the wolf pack so they didn't announce her? I dunno, but I am pretty sure she is in it. At least, I hope she is. She seems perfect for the role. (They are already cutting Leah out of the movie, please not Emily too)

    I agree Jen. I'm so glad they are staying true to the book and honoring the Native American culture. That is the most key and respectful thing about casting the pack because they are Native. They see that its more important on background and who is going to emotionally bring these characters to life than just casting because of looks and size because that would be so shallow. Good job Summit Ent. Now we just need the Volturi cast. Btw, I wonder who Edi was talking about when he said he is so excited about a new addition to the cast that he can't talk about yet? Hmm.

    Guys stop being negative about the Sam character. You don't know what he can do and they obviously picked him because of the older look, which has to be obvious. That's is what help him stand out as the leader and this guy does look older than all of them. As long as he portrays Sam well, its fine with me.

In regards to Leah, I know they said she was cut but I also heard that there had been some rewrites to the script and Leah was now in, if only in the background. But if that were true, I'm sure the same would be said about Seth...

    FINALLY!!! ive been waiting the longest time for them to make an official announcement. im glad that all the actors are of Native decent. thats makes them authentic. haha. the guy who plays paul is perfect.

    I agree I think Summit didn't list her as part of the "wolf pack" because Emily is not a wolf, she's is Sam's Fiance and he is a wolf.

    Yeah... I had always envisioned him a little older. I sort of saw Jason Isaacs in my head with him. But I can totally see where you are coming from, particularly when I think of The Tudors. Plus, let's be honest, Jonathan is a major hottie! I wonder who they WILL choose.

    I know Leah wasnt mention much in New Moon. I think Seth & Leah should get an introduction in New Moon. Harry Clearwater died in New Moon. That's when Jacob told Edward on the phone that Bella was in the funeral.

    Leah's only in New Moon for like a split second so maybe that cut it out of the movie or they'll do like they did with Sam in Twilight, where as readers we know Sam delivered that line but in the movie Solomon was credited as Sam Uley.

    OMG . . . you all are sooo right. He would be one smokin hot volturi. But I can totally see him playing Demetri or Felix . . . the 3 main volturi are ancient looking, not old but they don't look as attractive as the other do.

    Because of my obession with all things Twilight, I was looking around a lot of sites. I can't exactly remember where I found it. But I definitely know that I found SOMETHING that said that Melissa Rosenberg rewrote some stuff in the script and added Leah in.
    But who knows?

    I hope it's true. I know that Leah isn't HUGE in New Moon, but she is sort of important. I mean, Eclipse would be awkward if she just happened to be a wolf without ever having been introduced before. Am I right?

    And if this is true (fingers crossed!!!) let's hope they pick a good actress and not just a filler until Eclipse. Someone that they plan on keeping, I mean.

    Yeah, while I understand the need to pick the vital stuff from the book in order to make the movie move forward and not drag too much, it is important to have introductions to the characters. She becomes a more important character as the books go on. Seth/Leah are pretty important, and they need to be cast well.

    Finally! I have found someone who agrees with me about Leah. Sure, she was a bitter shrew, and kind of irritating, but she had a reason! And then in Breaking Dawn, you see SOOOOOOOOOO much more of her.

    I have to practically beat my friends, who still are kind of iffy about her.

    See, in Eclipse, I finally felt some compassion for Rosalie and all of my irritance with her moved to Leah. Then in Breaking Dawn it switched back... I couldn't help it, Rose just irritated the hell out of me.

    I agree. Either of them would be great! Idk about Aro, Marcus, and Caius. The girls at work and I had discussed how Antonio Banderas would be good as one of them. It's a long shot . . . but he did play an awesome vampire in "interview w/ a vampire."


    I just wish they'd put the dang cast list out already. Torture . . . they are enjoying torturing the fans!

    I don't even have a guess on who Edi was talking about but I totally agree your comment. We want these characters to be brought to life in the truest form possible. As long as they can do that, their looks shouldn't matter.

    I actually have a guess at who Edi was talking about. There was a contest on Twilightthemovie.com, where you had to make a video about why you should be in New Moon! Maybe that's what he was talking about. I can't wait for the results... i entered!

    I actually agree with you about Leah. They could introduce her, as they do in the book, so she will at least be known in the viewer's mind. It could be confusing to just throw her and Seth into Eclipse without seeing them before.

    Plus Leah is my favorite chick of the saga. :-D I loved her!

    I have to say that my love for Leah comes from my life experience. I totally understood her pain over Sam. To be left for someone else hurts like hale. Had I been in her shoes I would have acted the same with the pack. A type of "feel the pain you caused" revenge. I found her (hopefully I will not be killed for this) to be one of the stronger, if not strongest, females in the saga. I am still angry that Leah didn't have her happy ending!

    Anyway I was seriously looking forward to her being in the movie. But if they are casting Harry *crosses fingers for Wes Studi* then they should have Seth and Leah.

    No one can say for sure that they wouldn't act like Leah did in her situtation. She was stuck between a rock (Sam and the pack) and a hard place (Emily and Sam together) but Stephenie said that, after Breaking Dawn, Leah was happier than she had been in a long time and that having Jacob as a friend helped her a lot.
    But, I agree, I wish she'd gotten her happy ending. I made one up for myself to make myself feel better.

    Oh I thought that too!! I was actually hoping that it would happen. Two wounded souls finding solace with each other. Then Jake finally imprinted.
    Poor Leah was stuck between the rock and a hard place. I actually loved the evolution of her character. We see her at first as the bitter shrew until Breaking Dawn where she has finally reached a healthier place.

    I adored that part! That is when I thought there could be something between them. I cheered so loud because I am sure that she told Bella all of the things running through my mind. It took some major balls for Leah to do that.
    I couldn't help myself. I felt so horrible for Jacob and I was so angry at Bella.

She will need to be cast well. And I do feel for she and Rose. They each have such strong back stories . . . how can you not feel for them? And while I would've liked to have kicked Rose in the head a couple of times in BD, I get her (it took me 6 years to conceive my first son).

    It's kind of like Jacob . . . I liked him in New Moon, loathed him in Eclipse, and developed a newfound respect and love for him in BD. You really do have to read all 4 books to completely understand the saga that is Twilight!

    I felt the same reading the books, I liked Jacob in New Moon, Loathed him in Eclipse and then Loved him in Breaking Dawn, in that book I found him really funny, and I loved the love-hate between him and Rosalie! Especially when Rosalie went to get him food and made him a dog bowl with Fido written on it, and then he threw it and hit her on the head, I rolled around with laughter!

    Busy, busy weekend!!! I didn't disappear on you!

    The party was awesome. I actually got my copy of Twilight via fed ex Saturday morning but didn't open it til the party Sunday. I had 10 women from ages 12-33 at the house. We had good food and Twilight trivia before we watched the movie. We had the surround sound up obnoxiously loud and still had a hard time hearing the movie because we were all talking at once about what we liked, didn't like, should've been added or deleted, etc . . . it was a freaking BLAST!

    It has inspired us to start movie Sunday a couple of times a month. Our next movie is going to be Dirty Dancing . . .

    Ah I love that film! One off my all time favourites, me and my daughter who is 8 and also called Leah have movie night on a fri, as Sophie goes to bed early, we both snuggle up on the sofa with a big bag off popcorn and a duvet, we call it our duvet-day Lol. Its fab and I love it! Thats brilliant that your party went excellently well, Roll on the 6th April til I get my copy, I will be unavailable for at least 24hrs within receipt off getting it LMAO

    That sounds so incredibly fun! I'm glad it worked out okay and you had a good time! Movie Sundays sounds fun too.

    I watched it several times over the weekend but Sunday I watched it with my son with the comentary on and he did NOT like it at first. He kept saying "mommy, they're making fun of Twilight!" He didn't like them making fun of his Edward! But after I explained who was talking he understood and laughed hysterically when Edward says "what do we eat?" and Rob says "cheeseburgers" LOL!

    I haven't watched it with the commentary yet. I was sorely disappointed that so many vital scenes from the book ended up on the cutting room floor. What a waste!

    My 4yr old son was like - momma, it's the Edward "pampire." He watched parts of it with us, but exited the room when we women got too loud for him (mom, I can't hear the movie). He's also taken to wearing his Halloween vampire teeth around the house, which I find adorable!

    I was so thrilled that it was in FULL COLOR that I could hardly stand it! I've been watching a downloaded copy on my computer since January but the color isn't very good on it. And the surround sound made it awesome too!

    My son is 8 and is Team Edward all the way. I hope New Moon isn't too scary or intense for him to get to know Jacob better. The vampire teeth are hysterical!! Mine wears a sweat band on his arm with the Cullen Crest on it. He loves the director's notebook and the movie companion alot too. He probably tells all his friends at school how obsessed with Twilight his mommy is!! I hope to take him to La Push and Forks one day.

    Yes I agree about some of the cut scenes. I have a better feeling about New Moon and I hope it lives up to the hype. And yes sitting in my living room watching Twilight in the comfort of my PJs was the BEST!

    Yeah... I'm still not sold on Dakota. The first time I read Jane, I saw Jodelle Ferland and, even now, I still see her. I am not, however, going to rag on Dakota. She's a good actress for someone so young and I believe that she will do that part justice. We shall have to see.

    IDK either. All of my friends think she'll be great but like you, I'm not sold. I'm annoyed tonight by those on one of the other posts on this site who feel the need to reinvent New Moon and virtually take out Jacob and the wolves . . . grrr! They gotta stay true to this story regardless of how "horrible" it's going to be for some that Edward isn't the key figure in the movie. I'm personally excited to see the development of the wolves as they DO have a major part in the outcome of the story in BD.

    it kinda sucks! I mean....they could have kept him the way they did with taylor lautner. it's just weird now. but anyway, he wasn't called "sam" by anyone in the movie, so if the actor playing his part wasn't tagged as Sam but just as a Quileute, he could have stayed....it's just too bad when you're expecting everything to be the same for the sequel and somehow, you find some changes! same thing for the other kid playing Jacob's friend. Maybe they weren't good enough or as charismatic as the new ones.....what do you think?

    "Irresistable Jacob Black" dang skippy! I love the wording!
    I have seen a few films with the actor who plays Sam and he is really good. He can pull off that confident leader aspect of Sam. Remember in the beginning he is an apparent gang leader until Jacob transforms. I think he just has the look of Sam. I hope that Tinsel is confirmed soon. I will have my original Emily. YAY!
    Now that my beloved Pack is announced bring on my villians! I can't wait to see who they cast for The Volturi. I'm hoping to see Jonathan Rhys-Meyers for Caius but I doubt it.

    Wouldn't it though! I have been a fan for many years now. Jonathan has always been my Caius since the description in New Moon. He has that sinister vibe to him. With the red eyes and what not of the Volturi he would be scary as hale.

    Jason Isaacs would amazing!! I hadn't thought of him before. I have been a fan of his since The Patriot. I could just see Jonathan, especially during the stand off in Breaking Dawn, with bright red eyes and his fury as protrayed in The Tudors. Almost gives me the chills! I think he would own it. His performance in The Tudors (I watch for Henry Cavill as well) sorta confirmed him, without a doubt, as my Caius. Plus, as you said, he is a hottie!

    Antonio was so yummy in "interview w/ a vampire" and I could see him as one of the leaders too. Summit is trying to torture us. They seem to take a sick pleasure with it. Shame on Summit. I need more than Dakota Fanning.

    Yeah... I'm still not sold on Dakota. The first time I read Jane, I saw Jodelle Ferland and, even now, I still see her. I am not, however, going to rag on Dakota. She's a good actress for someone so young and I believe that she will do that part justice. We shall have to see.

    IDK either. All of my friends think she'll be great but like you, I'm not sold. I'm annoyed tonight by those on one of the other posts on this site who feel the need to reinvent New Moon and virtually take out Jacob and the wolves . . . grrr! They gotta stay true to this story regardless of how "horrible" it's going to be for some that Edward isn't the key figure in the movie. I'm personally excited to see the development of the wolves as they DO have a major part in the outcome of the story in BD.

    I am with you all. I am not sold on Dakota, although I find her to be an amazing actress.
    I am rather irritated at people wanting to remove Jacob and the wolves as well. Everytime I see a post that claims the story is only about Edward/Bella I want to scream. It is SO much more than a love story. Jacob and the wolves are just as important (to me) as Edward and the vampires. Without each aspect then where is our story? I hope that sense it's rather late. I'm surprised I can type a coherant sentence!

    I'm starting grad school next spring for my degree in English Lit so I can teach on the college level. I love that Stephenie's series of books have got young readers and adult readers alike excited about reading again!!! It's awesome!

    How exciting! But I think they are having way too much funny playing with the emotions of the fans . . . all of whom are dying to know the cast list!

    And I do think the guy cast as Sam will do an excellent job. He has a more mature look to him which is important for that character.

    I felt the same reading the books, I liked Jacob in New Moon, Loathed him in Eclipse and then Loved him in Breaking Dawn, in that book I found him really funny, and I loved the love-hate between him and Rosalie! Especially when Rosalie went to get him food and made him a dog bowl with Fido written on it, and then he threw it and hit her on the head, I rolled around with laughter!

    it kinda sucks! I mean....they could have kept him the way they did with taylor lautner. it's just weird now. but anyway, he wasn't called "sam" by anyone in the movie, so if the actor playing his part wasn't tagged as Sam but just as a Quileute, he could have stayed....it's just too bad when you're expecting everything to be the same for the sequel and somehow, you find some changes! same thing for the other kid playing Jacob's friend. Maybe they weren't good enough or as charismatic as the new ones.....what do you think?

    I don't even have a guess on who Edi was talking about but I totally agree your comment. We want these characters to be brought to life in the truest form possible. As long as they can do that, their looks shouldn't matter.

    I agree I think Summit didn't list her as part of the "wolf pack" because Emily is not a wolf, she's is Sam's Fiance and he is a wolf.

    I'm glad to see that Summit has confirmed our wolf pack!!! I hope they also confirm Tinsel.....I think she would be the perfect Emily!!! I think the guy that they picked for Sam was a god choice. Remember, he's suppose to be older than the rest of the pack. He definitely has the older and wiser look about him!


    Good job Summit! Now, they can start working on the rest of the Volturi!!!! Hopefully we'll start hearing something soon!!!!!

    Leah's only in New Moon for like a split second so maybe that cut it out of the movie or they'll do like they did with Sam in Twilight, where as readers we know Sam delivered that line but in the movie Solomon was credited as Sam Uley.

    The guy in the poster above between the girl & Taylor bothers me. He doesn't look like he fits in properly with the other pack members. Not sure why but he just doesn't look like he belongs to the same tribe as the rest at all to me. Maybe that is just a bad photo of him. Other than that I think the pack looks awesome!

    The party was awesome. I actually got my copy of Twilight via fed ex Saturday morning but didn't open it til the party Sunday. I had 10 women from ages 12-33 at the house. We had good food and Twilight trivia before we watched the movie. We had the surround sound up obnoxiously loud and still had a hard time hearing the movie because we were all talking at once about what we liked, didn't like, should've been added or deleted, etc . . . it was a freaking BLAST!



    It has inspired us to start movie Sunday a couple of times a month. Our next movie is going to be Dirty Dancing . . .

    I watched it several times over the weekend but Sunday I watched it with my son with the comentary on and he did NOT like it at first. He kept saying "mommy, they're making fun of Twilight!" He didn't like them making fun of his Edward! But after I explained who was talking he understood and laughed hysterically when Edward says "what do we eat?" and Rob says "cheeseburgers" LOL!

    someone had made a comment saying he looked like a jewish nerd!!!! idk i think he'll be an alright Quil... i mean i never really saw Quil looking the way he looks...not that he's not cute, he has a certain charm about him... I just didn't see him as Quil.. I always imagined Bronson.... hmm.. the more and more i think about it though the more i could see him being a 'wing-man' for Taylor

    i dont know about the rest of the actors cause ive never seen them, but i am hoping to see good things. the only ones i think are perfect are Jacob, Paul, Quil, annd jared...&& emily

    the rest ( which is just sam and embry) i think they should of kept the same actors from twilight to pla y them causwe already have them in our headsas embry and sam so i think its jut disappointing that there are going to be whole new actors...it'll just give us a new character to think of....its like if they change Bella from kristen stewart to someone else, it'll just be annoying..

    I really do not agree with some of the wolf pack casting. I mean sure their of Native descent but I wanted like full blood natives. And these guys just don't look native to me. I should know since I am full Native.
