I believe that even if Peter didn't become an actor, he would have been a great lawyer. He just so compassionate and loving just like Carlisle. We know this because he does all of these charity work whenever he has free time. Also, he spends time with his family too. He rather stay home with his wife and children then go out and hang out with his friends. He has this 'fathery' and safe vibe about him. Anyone would be able to trust him.
