I don't think this is one of "those" books written by Ed-fans... I actually liked to see the way Pack functioned, their daily humor, more role for Quil, Embry; I loved Sam (as usual)... Though I don't know what will be the ending...
Honestly...I really only read wolf pack related fics. There is a kick arse Leah one I'm reading. Tons of imprint stories (Jared/Kim...Rachel/Paul...Sam/Emily...Quil/Claire) a lot of them have very vivid freaky deaky scenes. lol. I'll have to post links at the coven of my faves.

Although, honestly, and I know I keep harping on this, I'd watch if they'd just break out the 3 mystery members of the pack and didn't have Alex.
I am afraid for my life of how small their parts are going to be if not one pap has gotten a single shot of them.
After watching Twilight, I got the distinct impression that the guys playing Embry and Quil were directed to "stand behind Jake and look Quileute" and I"m praying that they really develop the characters and the sense of friendship/brotherhood that is among the wolves and not give the other wolf-pack members 2 seconds to wave at Bella and just "give that silent authentic Quileute feel" .
I have been terrified for the wolves screen time since the "flittering images" bullshiznit came out. I can only image how much could be cut. Just to give some a few extra scenes of Edward. *growls*
I want to see the pack develop. I want their relationship to develop. I want a Jake/pack intervention when Jake first transforms. I want the damn Sam/Emily love fest gawd bless it! They are just as much a family as the Cullens were in Twilight. I damn well better have my effing pack time. If I don't...I will not watch Eclipse or BD. I will simply re-read my books, and add in my own crap.
Totally agree with you about La Push. The whole portrayal really reminds me of my family. Strong (seriously...2 great-grandmothers hit cheating hubbies with cast iron pans), warm, caring, opened door policy...just ugh. I'm trying to keep the positive vibes of the clips.
If the trailer is released though there MUST be some flittering image of the pack. Maybe they will phased? S**t just give me a gawd forsaken wolf howl.

I saw the Special Edition at Barnes & Noble the other day. I just finished "The Queen's Fool" by Philippa Gregory. I needed something new. Breaking Dawn - Book 2 (only book I have at the moment) is practically worn out. I love Eclipse! NM is my fave but Eclipse and BD-Book 2 are tied for my 2nd fave.
Oh uh....I'm on a beach hunting for....seashells. Yes shells. *looks around for a cliff* If I can find Narnia I can find them cliff diving. I know I can. LOL! *prays a pack member shows up at Myrtle Beach next week* Pffft. Yeah right.

I loved "The Queen's Fool." I'm obsessed with anything Philippa writes to be honest lol. I just hope if The Queen's Fool is turned into a movie....someone does a better job than they did with "The Other Boleyn Girl." Completely obsessed with that book, completely loathing the movie.

I'm one of those ppl that if I love a book, I'm really ferocious about keeping with the details. I cant' watch it until someone I trust sees it and gives the ok.
I loved Confessions of a Shopaholic and my husband took me to watch as a surprise and I was prepared to nit-pick it and despite the changes TOTALLY loved it. I've read the whole series 3 times each and I practically drool laughing every time.
Watch me forget something important like tanning oil, a toothbrush, a cell phone, anti-frizz stuff, or a swimsuit....or all of the above.
I am the same way with books. I'm a bookaholic. I really, really love historical fiction. My all time fave book will always be The Illiad, then The Complete Works of Plato. Haven't read Confessions of a Shopaholic yet. It's on the list lol.
If a film is based on one of my fave books....I will not see it until someone gives me the ok too. Like with the movie "Troy" I couldn't watch it in theaters. My friends warned me that it followed nothing of The Illiad. Did I listen though? Hell no! Saw it on HBO, watched it, then cursed Brad Pitt for life. Did the same with Twilight...until I was tricked into seeing it.
Ooh, I like just about everything as long as it's not too nasty. I get very into what I read, so I gotta be careful what I put in my head (If I read stuff with a lot of cursing, it just wants to pop out of my mouth and I Hate that, so I try to watch it..)
I love free verse/poetry, too- the ones where they have an entire story told in free verse segments. I could lose myself in it.
I LOVE love love Shakespeare and I love it when they do really good modern adaptations of his stuff too. And Jane Austen b/c her characters are so much like people today
They killed the dialogue in Twilight. I was so embarrassed b/c I begged begged begged my husband to get me the movie, and the dialogue was so inane that I was embarrassed to watch it with him. The rest of it was good though. ANd I did really like Justin Cho's lines.

I am pissed off because it's always only about Rob and Kristen. No offense to them at all, but there are other cast members. I believe, as a cast, they should be placed together. Not 2 in the front row like they are better than the others. Especially when they are not better that the others.
Twilight isn't just about Rob & Kristen, its made the rest of the actors get known more too and its about time they showed them some recognition.
I do think the cast should be sitting atleast in the same row myself. (without there dates) LMAO

My family is a cross between the hilarious Beverly Hillbillies (no kidding....great-grandpas were arrested for making moonshine) and almost viciously protective and seeped in tradition like the pack. My family really is my life force. I really believe as long as I have them I will be okay.
Me having the vengeful attitude, I want Taylor to rock everyone's socks. I know he can do it. You know he can do it. Our fellow Team Jacob/Taylor know he can do this. I just can NOT wait for Taylor to rock this. Then he can tell all of them to sit on it and spin. But it is Taylor...he will be humble and grateful.
I know the whole world loves Rob but this is taking the pi$$...the cast should be sitting together. Not just Taylor but anyone else from Twilight that is going.
As horrible as this sounds....because I am a vengeful person, not proud of it, but I hope Taylor wins rather than Rob. Just because I will get my "in your face" satisfaction.

I completely agree with you. Everyone knows how much I enjoy the Alex and Taylor news. But what makes me so angry is lack of pack set pictures....we have set pics of Rob without a shirt but not the pack? Come on! Two...there are other pack members. I would love to know what is going on with Chaske, Bronson, Kiowa, Tyson (I think that's the dude who plays Quil's name), and Tinsel. But nobody seems to care.
The Edward thing, for me, blows me away. I understand he is the main guy...but so was Jake. Jake stepped in the way of perfect bliss..I think that is why some dislike him. As for the pack...beats me lol. They aren't vamps I guess.

I LOVE free verse/poetry. It's so beautiful. I completely lose myself. The first time I read The Illiad I was lost. Nobody could speak to me for 2 days until I finished lol. I love poetry period but free verse is my fave. I am a fan of Shakespeare. He is just brilliant.
I enjoyed some of the dialog in Twilight. However....no dialog that speaks of monkey men and spider monkeys. Seriously. lol.

Ooh, with the cursing, I just try to be careful for a few reasons 1. I work with students throughout the week and I try to be a good example and 2. I never look angry when I'm angry, so when a curse shoots out my lips everyone in the room gets very VERY nervous and I find that it's quite an effective way to say, "you've officially pushed me over my limit and now I"m going to rail on you..."

Shakespeare IS brilliant, I was born on his birthday/death day and have the name of one of his characters (and in the Bible too- my mom had a dream about it before I was born) and I LOVE his wit/insults- its like a foreign language that the more you read, the more you can understand/appreciate.

I just reread Eclipse and love so much how the wolves relate like a family, so I am really hoping that we don't get a little Twilight-esque situation in which we have a Jake with wolves that just trail behind him and say one or two "witty" lines and then just look fierce and Quileute to give that special LaPush feel. I'd like to actually have them develop the whole community.
The things that I love about him are the thing that make him Alpha. I sincerely hope that they show the desperation/fear of Quil & the change in Embry - as in before and after. Even if they don't go that deep I am ok but they have HAVE to show the reason why Sam was always the best leader that the Pack would have gotten!
That's wierd, because I was just thinking about that today- the whole thing with Jake being scared to a sweat about Sam's group and how they were eyeing him, and the change in Embry. I would love to see them include that. (I'm scared to a sweat about the quality of the screenplay, but I'm going to be positive and hope we don't get an inane, "Bella, I'm frightened, Sam's being all freaky." "It's ok Jake, I'll tell my dad.."
I love Sam's immense, strong, confident presence. It gives me happy-chills when Bella hears snuffling and then is cradled against Sam's chest and he says, "Have you been hurt?" and takes her home..

Second, next year it will still probably go to Edward and Bella for the climatic kiss in Italy, but Jacob will get his fair share of love. The story is still Edward and Bella, but as long as the fans understand the true meaning behind the love triangle and the story then we shouldnt let MTV and the media get to us!
