Great point 30 YO about him being an artist. Although he will forever be able to proudly claim the role of Edward, he will also be amazing in the other movies he chooses to be in. His career will be a long one....

Well i'm french and I had to read this book like three months ago. I liked it anyway, but It was hard to finish >__<
I can't wait to see him as George Duroy! Dali and now this. wow he plays very interesting roles. Maybe I will try to go to Paris around that time ^^
I can't wait to see what he does with the character, but i'm sure he will do great. Let's just say this is the story of a man (george) who struggles to find his place in the society in Paris, until the day he meets an old friend, Forestier, who will help him to get a job and to meet the right people. From there, he becomes one, of the most powerful man in Paris by manipulating people, lying and everything. It's just the typicial guy, who, when he achieves something, always wants more. You can definitely see that at the end !
So yeah i recommend it to you =) hope it helps

"Bel Ami" is one of the most famous French litterature. I hope it will be good because when you touch to the French litterature it has to be good!!!and it will be a way for French students to see the movie rather than have to read it...
And i'm so happy for the Bel Ami project, it's an amazing book, i loved it and i'm sure Rob can pull this off !
