By far, Breaking Dawn was my favorite book out of all four! It all comes down to the theory if Edward is going to kill Bella or not! Who knew that he would be killing her by getting her pregnant with his child?!?! And his reaction to the news is strictly the same as any other 17 year old boy whose found out he will be a father!! Its realistic, timely and scary. It brings it all back to Bella..her life is in jeopardy again!! Jacobs theory on how Edward would kill Bella one of these days.. has come true. The least and furthest idea of him killing her too! The first book introduces Edward and Bella's love for one another. The second introduces the werewolves.. the third shows the tension build up between the werewolves and the vampires. Will their truce be solidified or will it crumble?? The fourth gives us Bella and Edwards happy ending, the one they deserve. Not only is their love true but its different from all others. They have a baby!! Their lives are put into danger, a long with their family. But Bella comes out strong. She goes from being this feeble, weak person, that Edward describes her to be in the first book. She is so breakable but now, instead of being saved, she in return saves herself, her family and friends! If the fourth movie isn't done, then Bella wont get the justly credity she deserves!! She isn't weak! She was the pawn but she is now the queen! She deserves that!

But Edward is NOT a 17 year old boy! He is over 100 years old....but the fact is that nothing could have prepared him for that.
But I agree---Breaking dawn should DEFINETLY be a movie!! Even if it has to rated R!! There are just as many adults that read the books as there are teenagers, so what does it matter what its rated? Be true to the grown up fans! Shes legal, and married and like most other woman in love, she likes to get it on! I will be very dissapointed if it doesnt come out in a movie!!!

it HAS to be made into a movie. If there is argument about the rating then make it rated R. if the argument is about the length...make it 2 books its almost like 2 books now. The first BD movie could be the wedding and conflict of the baby ending with the birth and leaving it almost suspenseful end where Jacob was about to kill Renesmee but imprints instead (just like the book ends the through Jacobs eyes at this point). Then a second BD movie can start with the becoming a vampire, learning to be one , conflict of Alice leaving and the psychological war. There is more than enough drama to make 2 amazing movies out of the one book. That way scenes fans agree are critical wont be left out!

I completely agree this HAS to be a movie. Bella saves the day so to speak and gets ALL of her happy ending. The man (vampire) baby and life she struggled so hard for. And it doesn't need to be PG 13. I'm 24 years old and love the series. It's not just teeny boppers that love this series. And I'm sorry if most of them are, well if they're old enough to read the books then they're old enough to watch the movie. They would leave too much out if they didn't give this a stronger rating than PG 13.
This is my favorite book in the series and I really hope that the screen writer whoever it may be gives the last installment the BANG (so to speak) that it deserves.

I totally agree with you. If they are old enough to read it then watching it sould not be a problem. I will be very upset if they do not make Breaking Dawn a movie and if they make it with a PG-13 Rating it won't be any good. I hope these people come to their senses. I know how it was when I was reading the books, I could just imagine everything that was going on, so I know all of the teenagers were doing the exact same thing, these days most teenagers know more than they need to know so whats the difference in reading it and watching it. I have a 10 year old soon to be sister-in-law that was aloud to read the book and I'll be damn if she won't see the movie, Her mom lets her do what she wants, and trust me she knows way more than she should. I don't like the idea of her reading the book but if her mother let her than there is noting I can say. The child has been aloud to watch Rated R movies since the time she was 5. The world is different these days so if Breaking Dawn has to be Rated R then let it be.

I also agree. This was a awesome ending to the never ending fantasy that SM created. It also sums up everyone's feelings and emotions and reason for them. Bella always felt that Jacob needed to be there, be close to her and in the last book we see why. To imprint on Nessie explains a lot. He was drawn to her even before her birth, I mean how amazing and curious is that? Plus, the whole defeat the all powerful thinking Royal Vampires. I just loved that part. To show that you have have to be the biggest player on the field to win the game. That in itself says a lot about life everywhere. Well, I will be very disappointed if they do not finish out the saga. I beg and plea that they do and give it all the justice that is do deserved.

Then is turned into a vampire to save her life. Those are FACTS that need to be shown on film. Why in the world would all three books be made only to leave the fourth movie unmade? With any good story there is a beginning and there is an END! So lets not rob Twilight of it's end. Breaking Dawn deserves to be MADE!

I think it should be made.If they're worried about the ratings then up the ratings.And it's not like they actually have to SHOW all of the birth scene.They can let it be known somehow without being that graphic about it.

Breaking Dawn SHOULD ABSOLUTELY be a movie! Two movies, in fact! There is SO much that happens! You can't possibly tempt the public with one two and three and not make four! Heck! Turn it into four movies! Make it and people will come!!!!!! Besides... you wouldn't be giving Bella what she absolutely wants if you don't! Who cares about the PG rating!??? I mean, more mothers read this than their kids do! Besides! The guys are going to want to see grusome and bloody! I say, MAKE IT.... PLEASE!!!!

If there is a problem with the ratings, then do what several movies have done. Make a theatrical version and an unrated version of the same movie. It's the parents responsibility to keep their children from seeing a movie, dont let that responsibility fall on the graphic nature of this book. Before I saw Twilight in the theater, I was already hoping a 4th movie would be in the making soon. Movie makers can not just leave it to the third book and say thats the end. Thats not the whole story!!

but yeah, umm, Breaking Dawn is my favorite book of the Twilight saga, so if they do not make the movie it will be a tragedy, I mean—it’s the ending of the love story, I mean..the beginning of it all…[after all, they have ALL eternity to love each other]
but yeah, the point is they have to make it, even if it isn’t PG13, possibly, the current fans are going to be old enough to watch it if it isn’t…haha.
But yeah, if the book is graphic, why not the movie?.
Besides, it isn’t that graphic.

omg yes! its the sum of the series. who care how graphic it may be its in the books and if parents have a problem with it, if they decide to make the movie dont let your kids watch it or better maybe they shouldnt read the book if there is going to be so much talk about all that crap. its just what happens and if its left out, i personally will think it will be dumb, its what suppose to happen its a man thing like hes trying his best to save her even in the worse way..he does though so its all good. if its not made into a movie there isnt any point into continue filming or there wasnt any point into making a first movie. your leaving the ending out of a huge thing. breaking dawn is the best ahah they finally do it, i wonder how they will rate it R or something nahh PG or teen cause little kids dont know any better and like i said shouldnt be reading it if its a prob

Pah. Making Breaking Dawn wouldn't be difficult at all. They just need to read the story more than once to understand everything, and the translation to movie script isn't even difficult in reality. I'd do it for them if they're so miffed.

I think that if they are going to start making movies based on a "saga" of books, then they should make sure they do all of the books. Breaking Dawn, really would not be all that difficult to create. There are plenty of movies that switch between view points, like the foriegn film "Lost in Translation". As for the birth, well it wasn't overly disturbing. The idea of Edward ripping apart her stomach is totaly over played, the only thing he did was bite into the sac around the baby, because it was as tough as vampire skin which is totaly written in the book. Its not like he Violently ripped open her stomach. Also Her transformation into a vampire isn't violent at all! have they forgoten that she basicly just laid on that operating table untill the pain was gone? nice and quietly.. Like where did the idea of a violent transformation come from?

Please re-read Breaking Dawn, and stop over thinking it. If you need to up the ratings then go ahead I am sure that people will go and see the movie regardless of the rating.

The idea of Edward ripping apart her stomach is totaly over played, the only thing he did was bite into the sac around the baby, because it was as tough as vampire skin which is totaly written in the book. Its not like he Violently ripped open her stomach. Also Her transformation into a vampire isn't violent at all! have they forgoten that she basicly just laid on that operating table untill the pain was gone? nice and quietly.. Like where did the idea of a violent transformation come from?

Pah. Making Breaking Dawn wouldn't be difficult at all. They just need to read the story more than once to understand everything, and the translation to movie script isn't even difficult in reality. I'd do it for them if they're so miffed.

Also, Mormons make up a big part of Stephenie's fan base and they arent supposed to see R rated movies, even if they're 40 years old (I know this because I have many Mormon friends and my mom used to be Mormon). So if it was rated R, it wouldnt make as much money as any of the rest and in the movie business, that's the most important part.



But they can easily turn it into PG13. It doesnt need to be graphic at all they can get the message across without actually showing anything. I'm more excited for this movie than anything else!

Breaking Dawn was a horrible , horrible book for many reasons and is destoyed what the twilight saga was about and it would continue to do so if they make it into a movie. They should just end elcpise with the wedding preposal and then jacob could imprint on some one- preferbly Leah. No way! It has to be made into a movie. If they can figure out how to get Reneesme on screen and look real it has to be done. That should be the only thing stopping them, not the ratings or how to get the birth/change on screen.

In my opinion Breaking Down was a perfect ending, it had closure. And in the story of Bella and Edward this is a must DO! Maybe if they skip the boring Jacob,and his thoughts, the book is just perfect to make it movie. The only thing I'm afraid is that Kristen and Rob will not participate...dont know but it will be sooooo terrible bad! You see the think is when I read the books, I had their faces in the characters...and it was beautiful. I hope as it started will end as well.

They have to make it. They can skip/ not show scenes. Like during Jacob's story, when Bella's giving birth, they can just show Edward/Jacob's expressions, and Rosalie's reaction to Renesmee. And maybe Bella screaming in the background. But Dahlia's right. The Comp. Animation Tech. would have to be far ahead of what it is now. They have to make it. They can skip/ not show scenes. Like during Jacob's story, when Bella's giving birth, they can just show Edward/Jacob's expressions, and Rosalie's reaction to Renesmee. And maybe Bella screaming in the background. But Dahlia's right. The Comp. Animation Tech. would have to be far ahead of what it is now. In my opinion Breaking Down was a perfect ending, it had closure. And in the story of Bella and Edward this is a must DO! Maybe if they skip the boring Jacob,and his thoughts, the book is just perfect to make it movie. The only thing I'm afraid is that Kristen and Rob will not participate...dont know but it will be sooooo terrible bad! Absolutely!!! That's what editing is for. You need to finish what you've started. You can't make half of a saga then not do the end of the story. If Harry Potter can go from PG to PG13 then it won't be the end of the world to make Breaking Dawn rated R, trust me, I'm sure the fans will come regardless of rating.

One must have an open mind and a vast level of maturity to be enveloped and REALLY understand this story. It depicts the strong romance and very deep love of two beings, one human and one vampire (though both end up the same.) On this note, if parents decide that the movie is to bad for their child to watch then it should be their responsibility to keep them away. Literature is meant to be seen in a certain way, those who can't handle it shouldn't read it to begin with. I don't think that it is very fair for those of us who are on a different level of maturity then that of a child, should have to suffer because the scenes are to adult for them to handle. are you bloody mental?? why would you not make the last one it's the BEST one are you stupid?? if you don't make it then your not giving the twilight saga movies it's ending!! the birth and transformation are actually not that gruesome in the transformation case not at all! bella is just lay on the operating table at this point and in the book your reading about what's going on in her head so if you do make the movie all kristen will have to do is lie on a table and maybe scream a little bit. I'm 14 and I've read all of the twilight books and did not think at one point in breaking dawn that it was gruesome or horrible! so make the last one otherwise your just ruining it!!!

Breaking Dawn has to be made! It can't be left at the third book. If there are people worried about certain parts it can be made not so gross. I just can't imagine them not making the last part .The happily ever after! It can be made tactfully. Besides this is a story of love and commitment , not just vampires. Breaking Dawn has to be made! It can't be left at the third book. If there are people worried about certain parts it can be made not so gross. I just can't imagine them not making the last part .The happily ever after! It can be made tactfully. Besides this is a story of love and commitment , not just vampires. They would have to get either a ton of little baby actresses that all look alike, or be extremely cheesy and make Renesmee computer-created. Also... the birthing scene. Need I say more? Okay good points and i'm not going to argue im just going to help you see how it could be possible :)
1. Stephanie had already stated in a interview that the film would most probably have to be made into 2 movies as it is so long, meaning theres more put into it. Or another option, cut out some scenes and do what they doing in twilight have bonus DVD's with them scenes on? Simple.
2.Bella being a vampire, well theres make up. simple as, have you seen what makeup can do today? Absolutely EVERYTHING i don't think making bella more 'vampire' like difficult. Plus this film wouldnt be made for another 2-3 years think of all the cosmetics and tech that would of been invented bythen. We create new things everyday. Possibilities are endless :P
3.As i said before we have a few years yet and tech gets more advanced all the time, i see how this one thing could be a problem i believe this would be the major issue in the film. But in lots of films they use different actors/actresses who look simular and at different ages to represent someone in a film. Plus, that new fil mthats out Benjiman Button or something thats like..about him getting younger? Well Renesmee changes alot so why not jus use make up? And computor effects thats what everyone does now :)
4. Birth scene, yes its graphic but hey? Birth is graphic o.o They can do alot with this scene. They can cut down the blood, you dont have to go overboard on it :S They can cut the scene out and put it on bonus CD? They can show it but just make it abit moresubtle. There are obviously more ways but right now theres alot of ideas there which i think people show take in to account.
Breaking Dawn will be an epic film, perfect ending to a perfect saga. Hope i helped you see abit more hope i nthe film :)

I thought everything that took place was perfect. I'm glad Edward and Bella got married because I was getting sick of Jacob being all lovey-dovey for her. That got old. But when Bella and Edward did make love for the first time, I didn't expect any smut so it wasn't a surprise when there wasn't any. I will say that the fact that Bella got pregnant really did suprise me. It completely threw me off! Though, I must say Edward and Bella becoming parents really did make me smile. And when she was born, Stephenie made it clear - to me - that it wasn't going to be an easy birth, obviously, so all the blood wasn't a shock to the system. Then, Jacob imprints on the newborn! I thought that was brillant, honestly. I mean, it explains why Bella and Jacob were so attached to each other - not as just best friends or the fact that he loved her -, but because she was going to give birth to his soulmate. And I was glad that happened. Bella got Edward, but Jacob wasn't going to be left suffering. And then, the whole 'war' thing with the peaceful gathering didn't shock me either. Aro was always presented as a peaceful vampire so of course he wouldn't allow any violence unless necessary. And who doesn't love happy endings? It's a teen series, anyway! What did you expect, that they'd all die? It wouldn't be so loved if that was the ending. Brillant, Stephenie, brillant.

You can't end the series at Eclipse because it would be a cliffhanger, and questions would be unanswered, especially "Will Bella become a vampire?". It makes sense that it would be made into a film. In the end, I hope all four books are made into movies, but I understand if they have trouble making Renesmee seem real.

I think you've explained it brilliantly. Like you I was in awe when they got married, and so wrapped up in their lifes that when she got pregnant it totally threw me too.... They have to make Breaking Dawn, there has to be a beginning and an end to this fantastic story. I really hope Stephenie decides to write Midnight Sun and a sequel of Nessie and Jacob with the Cullen family life...

Totally agree, there is no doubt that Breaking Dawn should be made .... can you imagine the uproar from fans worldwide?!?

As for Rob only signing up for three movies ... that was all that was on offer at the time. The rights for BD had not been obtained. I think they may have been now but there is still no guarantee that it will be made. I would imagine they will all sign up for BD if it does ... when you've committed so much time to a character I would think they would want to see it through to the end.

So what if they have to raise the ratings! its not like we dont go and see rated-R movies already. It finishes off the books in an excellent way and it isnt really that graphic. but if they make bd into a r rated movie, then i definetly wont be able to see it. and that would suck for me and all of the other kids under 18 who have uptight mothers who wont let them see an r rated movie on purpose

To be quite honest I feel that tese books are more...'Late teen-Adult' types of books not for 12 year olds, but hey thats okay lol im only 15 :P nearly 16 and i still love them. So im not really bothered what rating it is ill waitfor it on dvd if i must ill finda way to see it like you also, but they cant just end it at Eclipse thats not fair on the True fans of twilight. I mean who cares if theres sex scenes and abit of blood at birth? there are more gruesome films them this c'mon! plus its a movie just cut it out or if people really wanted to see it put it in as a extra on a seperate disc for christ sake or do what American pie has done before, make a uncut one cmon this is a sag! dont ruin it for people who love the books and who are wanting to see everything come to life =)

You make a good point, I think it depends on the individual too, not just age. My daughter just turned 12 when she read them and loved them, even BD, BUT she is very mature for her age. She wants to be OB and deliver babies and is not squeamish at all. So, I would say, it is the parents' responsibility to judge whether this content is appropriate for your children. And remember, it will be years before it would be released, kids will grow and mature by then:)

Okay good points and i'm not going to argue im just going to help you see how it could be possible :)
1. Stephanie had already stated in a interview that the film would most probably have to be made into 2 movies as it is so long, meaning theres more put into it. Or another option, cut out some scenes and do what they doing in twilight have bonus DVD's with them scenes on? Simple.

2.Bella being a vampire, well theres make up. simple as, have you seen what makeup can do today? Absolutely EVERYTHING i don't think making bella more 'vampire' like difficult. Plus this film wouldnt be made for another 2-3 years think of all the cosmetics and tech that would of been invented bythen. We create new things everyday. Possibilities are endless :P

3.As i said before we have a few years yet and tech gets more advanced all the time, i see how this one thing could be a problem i believe this would be the major issue in the film. But in lots of films they use different actors/actresses who look simular and at different ages to represent someone in a film. Plus, that new fil mthats out Benjiman Button or something thats like..about him getting younger? Well Renesmee changes alot so why not jus use make up? And computor effects thats what everyone does now :)

It would be great if they made Breaking Dawn into a movie because we'd get to see Bella as a vampire but most importantly Renesmee. Although that's the only bad thing about making Breaking Dawn into a movie. What would they do in order to create Nessie? They certainly can't get a real child to be her because as a baby because she was so intelligent so they'd have to use some special effects or something but then it would be kind of be funny because she wouldn't be real. That would be the only thing wrong with makihng it into a movie. I'd still want to see it though.

Rated R or not I would still see the movie and most people who saw Twilight were 15-18 and by Breaking Dawn they would be 18-21 so if they wanted to take there brother the 21 year olds could buy the tickets for the other 16 and 17 year olds that want to see it. Funny how life works out.

I really don't see how they can make Breaking Dawn into a movie. No real baby could play Renesmee, considering she doesn't look like a normal baby and she speaks at a (very) early age. She would have to be CGI, which I'm sure they could do, but I'm not sure how she would end up looking. Another reason is because most of the book takes place inside people's heads. Bella's forcefield is invisible, and we only know all about it because as readers in the book, we can see inside her head. They might be able to do this somehow in a movie, but I don't know how.


Don't get me wrong, I love the Twilight books, but Breaking Dawn is a very bizarre book. It's bad enough to read about a mutant vampire/human baby distorting Bella's body and ripping out of her womb, but it would be many times worse to actually see all these things. And Bella drinking human blood out of a cup. Also, it's great to read the description of Renesmee and how beautiful she is, but really, what newborn baby with a full head of hair and full mouth of teeth would be considered beautiful by humans? It's another matter to actually see it. Personally, I think any newborn Renesmee they could make would be pretty freaky-looking.



To me, there's just something about Breaking Dawn that's vastly different from the other books that makes it difficult to make into a movie. I think it would be sad if they had to stop at Eclipse though, because that would leave people hanging. But I'm afraid that might be what they have to do, or end up with a very bizarre movie.

i just heard on some website which i dont know is true but i sure hope it is that breaking dawn will be made into a movie because they just baught the rights to it and let me say this again i do not know if this is true but i heard it on some website and it said a little something about them buying rights to breaking dawn as a movie i hope this is true and i am so excited it is supposed to be flimming in 2010 if it is true but again i hope this is true oh please let this be true

No, I don't believe it should be made into the movie. Breaking Dawn is a marvelous book, but the way it is written and how it is so drawn out would be incredibly difficult to film and keep the viewers who are not twilight hardcore fans interested. While it has the potential to be an amazing movie, I think that director Chris Weitz is not up to the task - he's already wavered on the subject of keeping Taylor Lautner, who only just managed to snag the role (yay!) how many more bad decisions can he make if he's to be trusted with the pinnacle of Stephanie Meyers work, Breaking Dawn?

If the first three movies bring up a lot of money, they couldn't say; Well it's over after Eclips.

They cannot ignore the wedding and the pregnance, the birth of Renesmee and the Volturi.

I think they will, you know, if the first three movies bring up lots of money, they could not say; Let's forget the last part.

Moreover, a few thinks they named in the article about "ten things why they should not make the movie", are nonsence.
I mean, the name Renesmee, -I thought "what? is thát a name?"- is not pretty or simple, but in the article they say Bella cannot name her daughter Renesmee.

I think that is noncense, it is a strange name, but it is not like that you could not spell it or talk about it, it is only a little weird.

The hardest thing what will be taken (IF they decide to make a movie of Breaking Dawn), is Renesmee. She grows very fast. That's difficult to film I think.

But almost all of the other ten thing why not make BD are nonsence.

It is such a powerful story and they are already cutting most of the best scenes out by making it PG13+ so WHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHY would they want to ruin it anymore by just cutting the last movie all together.?????

I dont think they (summit , director, and script writer)realise how this saga has made people. especially teenage girls, feel. it has made all the difference in my life and without it I have no idea what i would be doing. before twilight saga, i had nothing much to look forward to except the end of the year and when thats gone, then whats next?

I completely stand by stephenie meyer for adding those other rather explicit scenes cause who are we kidding? WE ALL WANTED IT TO HAPPEN!!!!!!!!

Totally agree, there is no doubt that Breaking Dawn should be made .... can you imagine the uproar from fans worldwide?!?


As for Rob only signing up for three movies ... that was all that was on offer at the time. The rights for BD had not been obtained. I think they may have been now but there is still no guarantee that it will be made. I would imagine they will all sign up for BD if it does ... when you've committed so much time to a character I would think they would want to see it through to the end.

There is a lot of talk about what is better for everyone else!! However I think that obvious that everyone loves these books SO much... That in creating these movies it should be something that is true to Stephenie Myers original art...
Its is not up for our discussion what other parents allow their children to read or see. However me personally, everything that I wanted to happen finally happened in breaking dawn, you cannot end a story near the end and it is more than possible to make this movie.

I would be a very upset fan if these movies continue to only ploy in the teens, I am an adult myself and I know there is a lot of upset on what was left out of twilight and the stories that needed to be told.

If you as a person do not feel it is appropriate for a certain age then it is your job to protect them from it, just like you have to do with everything else in this world!!!

There is nothing wrong with a movie being rated R almost all movies are these days.... Stay true to the books!!!

Bella craved through the whole book to become a vampire and you cannot leave that out!! I think that no matter what any of us think, the movies should be true to the books. No matter what the rating and no matter what it takes to complete it.

Why stop there...I'm kind of anxious to see what kind of powers Bella would have? It's just of the reality of life, everyone grows up. By the time the breaking dawn would be filmed or relased, the young teens wouldn't probably be teens anymore. Plus, movies can always be rated and it would be up to the parentals to make that decision. Don't ruin it for us adults!!!=:)

YES, YES IT MUST BE A MOVIE!!! - It's the conclusion of a beautiful story. So many love stories conclude with "they Finally can be together, they marry, they live happily ever after". That always angered me - you want to enjoy that great part of the relationship too, not just the angst. Edward and Bella & Co, we want to be them, we want to know them. This is the only chance many of us will ever have. Those too young to see it should be too young to read it too - they know what she is talking about - my 12 year old niece does. The Notebook was PG 13 and they showed some pretty intense love scenes in there, partial nudity - personally I think it should be R so that it doesn't have to be so extremely orchestrated but I realize in this commercial world the decisions are often made by the people wanting the big bucks - not really considering the story. Stephenie knew what she was doing- and I think most people will be happy with Breaking Dawn - three hours or two movies, whichever way they go. Braveheart was over 3 hours! WE WILL NOT BE BORED!!! The support for this series has been and will continue to be phenomenal (Breaking Dawn has been in the top 25 of the best seller list since it debuted and is #4 on USA Today's Best Selling Fiction for 2008 (behind Twilight 1, New Moon 2, Eclipse 3). These books, these movies, these actors will be talked about for years to come - a larger part of their legend. They will go on to do other things (and we'll watch them all!) but this will be the thing - their day, their time and I believe if they are allowed, they'll do it with amazing grace and integrity.

Addendum: I also agree with Luvfroggys - be true to the books and quit catering to teens - Stephenie said Little Brown decided that these were young adults - I don't think she wrote them with that particular focus until they started editing them that way. I know far more adults reading them and devoted than teens - though I know there is an incredible number of teens that love them. Teens do grow up - there will always be some considered "too young" to see this as a movie even if it is PG 13 - Guess what, they grow up and they'll see it, in due time - Kristen & Rob (as well as the entire cast) are playing this to the adult crowd because they realize this is not teen material. With their instincts and talent, this series will go where it should - Bella maturing beautifully and things evolving - if not sometimes a bit painfully - because life can be painful - and men will continue to be jealous of Edward because he is a real man in every sense of the word - has integrity, strength, soul and Loves more than he loves himself - a rarity - no wonder we love him so much!!!!! I still wish Rob could use his English accent - to me Edward still reads English. PS They don't have to narrate the BD movie from Jacobs point of view - they can show and shorten alot of the werewolf stuff in much less time - I do think there is too much time spent dwelling on the werewolves point of view and the gathering of the friends in the book - but all can be easily dealt with - film-makers can be amazingly creative!

i dont know if this has already been posted and im too lazy to read all these comments but i found what stephenie meyer wrote on her website about breaking dawn to be rather interesting and answers some of the "problems" with making it a movie...
as far the battle/war scene:
"I'm not the kind of person who writes a Hamlet ending. If the fight had happened, it would have ended with 90% of the combatants, Cullen and Volturi alike, destroyed. There was simply no other outcome once the fight got started, given the abilities and numbers of the opposing sides. Because I would never finish Bella's story on such a downer—Everybody dies!—I knew that the real battle would be mental. It was a game of maneuvering, with the champion winning not by destroying the other side, but by being able to walk away. This was another reason I liked the chess metaphor on the cover—it really fit the feel of that final game. I put a clue into the manuscript as well. Alice tore a page from The Merchant of Venice because the end of Breaking Dawn was going to be somewhat similar: bloodshed appears inevitable, doom approaches, and then the power is reversed and the game is won by some clever verbal strategies; no blood is shed, and the romantic pairings all have a happily ever after."

and her opinion on renesmee and the difficulty of being filmed:
"When I said that Breaking Dawn might be impossible to film, it's because of Renesmee. You can do almost anything with CGI these days—realistic dragons and dinosaurs and endless amounts of nonexistent creatures that blend right in with the real elements. Some of them look so real you forget they're not. However, the one thing that I've never seen is a CGI human being who truly looks real. An actress can't play Renesmee, at least not when she's a few days old; she's the size of a baby, but her expressions are totally controlled and aware. She would have to be a construct, and CGI isn't quite there yet. Of course, they develop amazing new technologies everyday, and we've got a little time left."

i want to make a correction, these dont really answer the problems, but its just a look into what stephenie was thinking. like where it was said in the article (if you read the whole thing and not just the segment here) where the "battle" scene was too boring cuz there was no real fighting.

I really hope they still make it a movie.

If the whole deal is with the R rating, just wait till the younger fans grow a little older so they can see it. If it is R or nothing, I really hope it is a R rating.

And with the Renesmee thing, yeah, we know she won't be perfectly like the book. But no one should really expect that, cause that really and truly WOULD be impossible, even with all the technology we have now.

Breaking Dawn SHOULD be made into a movie because its the last book that actually ends the whole journey of Edward & Bella into a perfect world. I mean with Edward and Bella in the watre in Isle Esme they can just shoot them entering the water and Bella doesnt have to be naked ?!?!? Then they can just show them in bed with all the feathers and broken bed head and so on. For the birth part they might just show Renesmee retelling Bella what happened when she was being born and so on...I mean they have to and can find ways to do this movie without having to make it R rated for younger fans. They could make it MA 15+ as well.

Breaking Dawn should absolutely be made into a movie, although I can sympathise with the movie makers, as it will be quite dificult to stage the change of first person narration from Bella to Jacob, and also to find a way to portray Renesmee. But, regardless, they have to make all four movies, now that they've started. They can't just leave the story on the big screen unfinished! There are ways to show Renesmee's birth without focusing on the blood and gore, too- even if they have to bump up the rating to MA from PG. I mean, they showed Emmett and Jasper and Alice decapitating and burning James in the first movie in a way that wasn't upfront or particularly scary, so I'm sure they can do the same for Breaking Dawn.
And besides, I think they will have quite a few angry Twilight fans on their hands if they refuse to finish the saga!

Of course I love Breaking Dawn, as I do the entire series. However...I do NOT feel that Breaking Dawn should be created on film. My reasoning behind this is because Breaking Dawn is entirely too complex to maintain the integrity and spirit of the book. All the editing and special effects in the world could not do it justice, in my opinion. My fear is that if Breaking Dawn is made, that it won't be good enough. It'll cheapen everything and to me, that would just be sad to witness, being a lover of these books. I'm already worrying enough about New Moon & Eclipse as it is! I hope those films are wonderful and done RIGHT, you know!?

breaking dawn is going to be made into a movie.
If they make it R rated. they are dumb. Basically everyone thats has seen then other 3 will watch breaking dawn. Whether they get to see it legally or illegally they are still gonna see it. By making it R rated your just signing a peice of paper that means that 50 billion people or more are going to get in trouble with there parents for sneaking into a cinema thats for 18 + when your not 18 + ,
So I know i would personally still go see it, and id get in trouble but knowing that im still gonna go see it if they make it R rated.
Also they are going to make less money if they do that cause people wont be able to see it on tv, or get it from the video store..........easily.
So if there gonna make it R rated its plainly there mistake it wont stop many people seeing it so what is the point.
But i know this, breaking dawn will get made, Seriously they are gonna make more money from new moon then they did from tilight and then more again from eclipse, and they would have to be mad not to make breaking dawn.

i really hope the do make breaking dawn into a movie. i agree with those of you who said its your favourite because i'd probably say it's my favourite too. twilight was such a good series and there were so many questions that would be left un-answered if there was not a breaking dawn movie.
for example : would charlie approve of edward and bella getting married, would bella finally become a vampire, and also, would bella get what she wants from edward.
and i also agree with kirra. if they make it r-rated (which personally i have no clue means - as im not from america, im guessing by some of these comments its over-18s?) people under 18 will just watch it illegally. and to be honest, theres nothing really that shocking in the book that would scare anyone, so in my opinion i dont think they should make it R rated (or an 18 in the uk.)
and they could always make it 3 films? i know that would cost alot of money and time but it would solve the problem of switching from bella to jacob and then back to bella. just a thought.

You know, there are numerous "thriller" movies that are out with much much MUCH worse gory stuff that teenagers watch every weekend one comes out, not to mention crude comedies with curse words up to the ceiling. What really is the difference? The others are the same thing over and over again with different characters, but the Twilight series brings something new and better to the table, and if you don't put them all out, then it is just not whole. Bella and Edward's relationship at the end of BD is complete... and if it ends in Eclipse, it's not. They need Renessmee and all the "gory" issues to keep what they have together. So. Yes. Make Breaking Dawn.. even if it takes 2 movies or a really really long movie. I watched Titanic's 3 plus hours. I KNOW I CAN SIT through for Twilight.

I plan on boycotting the film if it is not an R rated movie. This is bull and it's just too bad that the pg movie goers will have to have their parents go with them. Most young kids I saw at the opening night of Twilight had their parents with them so what difference does it make. If you want to make an authentic movie that does justice to the book and to the story it must be an R rated movie and that is that. I think it's utterly absurd to try to tone down the gore... if it wasn't intended then why did Stephanie Meyer write it that way? And furthermore, I think that the way in which she wrote the birth scene as well as the sex scenes in general are vary vague. Please for the love of God, and the Cullens, don't tell me that they will do some crap about skipping over that whole section. If so then I will not even waste my time or money going to see it.

i think dat cullen wannabe1 is rite that if the movie is rated r that we wouldnt be able to see it i am also 12 and my mom is so uptight she wouldnt let me go see it. Um.. i dnt always get my way but a way to make the movie great if it's pg 13, they can cut down the bloody scene of renesmee's birth and the part where dey do it they dnt have to show every detail of it but the rest yes. You can also cut out the scenes and put it on theb onus disk if the dvd comes out..... so yea i hope dey make it into a movie

I wonder whether Summit Entertainment and Stephanie Meyer have seriously considered the vast genre of readers that her books have appealed too. I understand the books have been directed at the teenage genre, however it is plain to see it has gone much further than that.

I say this, in response to the debate about the making of Breaking Dawn as a movie.
As a person in my 30's and not an avid reader at any stretch I managed to read these books in four days. I absolutely loved them.

I was quite disappointed that BD wasn't as descriptive in the "racier" parts and the birth of Renesmee. (I'm sure readers patiently await these parts) Being the last book of the series (at this stage) I would have thought that they might have been, with all the other climactic action. But I understand.

However, it would be a greater disappointment not to have them included in the movie Breaking Dawn (if and when it is released) and New Moon and Eclipse also. Movies are obviously so much more a visual thing than an imaginative thing.

And to also consider cutting parts of the books out of the movie to make it a shorter movie experience would be disastrous. Readers almost always say the book is better than the movie. And I feel this way about all FOUR books and their transformation to movie...dont tear them to shreds.
Some of the most popular movies in history have been over three hours in length (and you can google that). Surely the producers, writers and Stephanie understand that fans would be prepared to sit for some time to see their favourite book portrayed in full.

Movie creation has come so far and there have been more complicated movies made than BD would be to make. I say put the dollars in and reap the rewards.

More than anything I would like to see them make a theatre version and a Special Extended Uncut version. Make the full movie, make three parts on three discs if you have to, make them racy and a bit gory, make them for what each one is and CAN be, give it an R rating....and then cut them down for theatre purposes to a lower rating. I know I would be prepared to see it in theatre and I would be first to line up to buy the extended uncut as well. I don't know if they will or have considered this but surely its worth while.

Every time I watch Twilight I keeping wishing each scene would go longer than it did the time before.

i dont care if the edit half. i dont care if its not exactly proportionate. and i dont CARE if they take 4 or even 5 years to make it. but i do care that it HAS TO BE MADE!!!! Breaking Dawn is the final piece of the puzzle to the twilight saga. and to lose the last piece of a puzzle, why we all would just go INSANE!!! IM NOT LYING PEOPLE WILL GO CRAZY!!!! Look at the third book they rip vampires apart!! Edward rips Victoria's head off so why it there a problem with the 4th book?? it's no worse i dont see it being that difficult at all only that when bella turns she's a totally different person(look) so will kristen stewart actually play the part after she turns?? and the baby/vampire will it be mechanical like the baby in dawn of the dead?? that could work!!!oh well it was my favorite book of the series so i'll be waiting for it to come out!!!
