I was watching 10,000 BC tonight. I'd never seen Steven Strait before, but kept thinking, "this guy would be PERFECT to play Jacob. So, I looked up Strait, and found this! They'd be nuts not to cast him. Lautner is totally wrong for Jacob in the other movies. He's just too young, too short, and too boyish. He couldn't possibly be believable. I didn't really think he was right in the first movie, honestly.

i agree if they knew he wasnt gonna make it for the other movies maybe they should have picked someone else. i think they should keep him, i think they can pull it off and make him look older. he already looks older with his hair cut. and he doesnt really change until the middle of the book. so... keep taylor. when im reading the books he's the one that pops into my mind.

I completely agree with Sarah....Taylor only had a minimal role in Twilight and he does not have the physical characteristics of a full grown man! Hello.....I want to see a real person not a digitally altered Jacob...that would totally ruin it!!! I like Taylor...but come on...loyalty to the actor aside...he does not fit the role physically. When I saw Taylor as Jacob I immediately asked myself who they were going to replace him with in the following movies....I did not commit to him because I didn't expect them to keep him...get over it already....

Please recast the role of ROSALIE!!!!!!! It is just such a poor fit!!! All the Cullens are supposed to be physical standouts and Rosalie is supposed to be the most beautiful of all. Nikki Reed is pretty but is nothing close to stunning. Rosalie's beauty is what makes her herself, vain,envious and conceited so it has to be present in the actress who plays her. The casting director should watch Van Helsing and take a look at the 3 wives of Dracula in that film. Now that is STUNNING!

Jacob Black- A 26-27 looking 16 yr. old guy, who grows and grows, and is 6'7" feet at one point in the novels and towers over edward. Taylor's adorable that ASIDE. If you can honestly say reading you pictured him thats crap he's not jake at all. He is too little I dont care if he says he'll body build ; until he's actually big and has grown alot and gets some balls and an attitude problem (and doesn't seem like a complete sweet heart little kid), I AM abosolutely not ok w/ him for Jake period, Dark skin big brown eyes or not. Squinting your eyes at Robert Pattinson is not a Bad ass jake. Sorrry I like Steven Strait ALOT not this micheal character either aaha Summit has to have other options and idk you're a big film company if you could find someone that suites him thatd be awesome!!!!!

Seriously, let's set physicality aside. The 10 seconds Taylor had in 'Twilight' was a much better performance than the total duration Copon had in any of his other stuff. And I'm not even a Taylor fan.

The whole Jacob Black thing is something I don't even want to talk about. Taylor was great in Twilight, but I have no idea what's in store for New Moon. Copon seems really arrogant... announcing that he's the new Jacob on his Facebook status? That's pretty low. Between Copon and Steven Strait, I'd prefer Strait... he's 6'2" and 22 years old, which is better than Copon's 6'1" and 26 years old. The thing I'm most concerned with right now is Summit. They absolutely disgust me at this point. I think Twilight could've been done MUCH MUCH better, and now I realize that it was Summit's, not Hardwicke's, fault. And now that she and her awesome vision are gone, Summit decides to bring in a GUY director (nothing against him, I hope he pulls it off!!!) and give him the SAME budget as Twilight. What the HECK are they thinking?!?!? Don't the WANT New Moon to be better? Oh, that's right, they DON'T. Because apparently, they've found that they can get a huge profit off of fangirls who seem to throw money at any underbudgeted movie that they slop together. And here they go again.



This isn't against fangirls.. I AM one... but I'm outraged that Summit it so unwilling to make the book series into an equally stunning movie series. They needed money, and now they have it. So give some of it back to us in a beautiful New Moon film!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now if you read the books which everyone claims to and supposably knows them well, knows that jacob in new moon remains the same but just taller untill he gets sick when him bella and Mike go to the movies. Then hes no longer looks 16 and babyfaced with a pussy voice like Lautner but looks like a 25 year old, 6'7 tall man but is still only 16. Now why screw up a whole movie just cause all you whiney ass girls who didnt approv of Lautner in the begining suddenly do... I think the director is making a fantatic move on looking for a BIG Jacob if sticking with Lautner throughout the series of movies that wouldnt be living up to the books... it would be WRONG. Now nobody liked Rob at first but you grow to love him as our Edward. Youll do the same for anyone who gets picked as Jacob. Now just cast my dream big Jacob STEVIN SRAIT... nuff said.

i think if taylor is goning to be replace it should be in eclipse.. because.. i hace seen how taylor gets excited when they ask about the nex movies.. and how he wants to give the best of him in does movies.. it would be kind of awful if he is changed just for been short.. and not enough men.. it would let my ego go pretty low.. and i know that taylor would be an excelent jacob.. he feels it!

Taylor IS Jacob, hands down. They need to stick to the original cast--a new director is change enough, but leave the damn cast alone.


I really wasn't sure I would like Taylor in the role, but I thought he deserved a chance & boy did he grow on me! He definitely is young but he's at that perfect stage where his appearance can literally change overnight. The kid is passionate about the role & takes it very seriously...You really can't ask for more than that. Hell, he's been working out w/a personal trainer & a specialized diet to bulk up for it. As for the details of him looking older, its all a part of movie "magic". The most important thing is that he's passionate about the part, his chemistry w/Kristen & Robert is fantastic (I don't care what they say, Jacob & Edward at the prom was one of the best scenes in the movie for me. Perfect chemistry) & his personality embodies Jacob to a "T". I don't think they could do better & I honestly don't want to see them try

there is no way they could replace Taylor Lautner! My boyfriend is mad at me because I am like totally in love with that guy! SERIOUSLY if you can read this DO NOT REPLACE TAYLOR LAUTNER!!!! I think they should stick to orignal cast. They should've thought about what the characters were supposed to look like in the sequels before they gave them a role in Twilight! I don't think it will be the same if they re-cast some characters. I hate when movies do that. So I think they should keep Taylor and spend the extra money to make him bigger on screen. It's not like us Twilight fans haven't made them millions in watching the movie over and over and buying all the books.

i agree if they knew he wasnt gonna make it for the other movies maybe they should have picked someone else. i think they should keep him, i think they can pull it off and make him look older. he already looks older with his hair cut. and he doesnt really change until the middle of the book. so... keep taylor. when im reading the books he's the one that pops into my mind.
