I mean, I am team switz.. but I lean more to Team Edward.
Jake is great. I love him.
But Edward........ no one can compare.
Plus, the saga consists of the romance between E & B.
Of course more fans are on Team Edward.

I had to answer the question for Bella. What does Bella Swan do when true love leaves her? Not just true love, but Edward Cullen! None of those other heroines lost an Edward (Romeo was a hothead, Willoughby was a scoundrel, Tristan had loyalty issues, Heathcliff was pure evil, Rhett had a mean streak and cheated with hookers, and sweet Gilbert was much more of a Jacob than an Edward).
Although I love edward... if you've ever been in that situation... a lot of ppl would chose jacob... (but of course i've never been stuck between a vamp and a wolf myself!)
I found out something very interesting. there seems to be a few fans who are team jacob but feel that bella and edward belong together. go figure.
as far as "a lot of ppl would chose jacob.."
It s beyond my comprehension why people can t accept bella and edward being together. What made us fall in love with twilight in the first place?. It was not because of Jacob, his role was minor and we did not even know that he was going to play a major role until later on. We fell in love with twilight because of Edward and Bella. But it was more than just Edward and Bella. This was more than your typical harlequin romance novel. This is about a handsome, sexy, mysterious and dangerous vampire falling in love with an ordinary human girl. And how this vampire, though he is falling in love with her, has to control himself from killing her. And I don t care what team anyone is on, let’s be honest with ourselves twilight saga would not be what it is today if it was not for Edward‘s character. The mystery and the danger that came along with Edward being a vampire (Not just your typical boring human teenage boy like Mike) made twilight interesting and exciting. Sorry team mike. if there is one.
Lets take Edward out of the picture and imagine that this is a love story between Mike(Human) and Bella (Human) Boring!!!!!!!(Think I’ll pass and go read readers digest or something). Just another typical teenage romance novel.
Love story between Jacob(Human/werewolf) and Bella. Some mystery (Jacob’s a werewolf) some danger (don t get him angry when you re near him otherwise you' ll end up looking like Emily. And I'll take a bite from edward anytime at least if he bites me and hopefully does not suck me dry I'll end up transforming into a beautiful vampire.). Not your typical teenage romance but hardly exciting.
And the reasoning behind Bella being with Jacob because he is human is ridiculous. It’s a fantasy novel for Pete’s sake. It was not meant to be read from a realistic point of view otherwise the excitement gets lost. Stephenie gave us twilight so that we can fantasize. So that we can escape from our realistic world for just a while. Throw caution to the wind so to speak. Who cares about the consequences of giving up my human life to be with a sexy beautiful vampire who is madly in love with me and me with him, let me just fantasize for a while please.
If we are going to whine about “bella should have chosen Jacob because he’s human. Bella should have chosen Jacob because she does not have to sacrifice anything.. Bella should have chosen Jacob because ..blah blah blah. Then we miss out on what stephenie was trying to give us.
If we did not have a problem with bella falling in love and having a relationship with edward in twilght then we should not have a problem with it now.

It's a person's preference to be on the team of their choice, maybe those that are Team Jacob, actually like Jacob. Even if your own opinion is not favorable towards him.
Not everyone doubts the love Bella has for Edward. And no one is doubting "why they fell in love with Twilight in the first place." We all know how the story ends. Everyone loves Twilight for their own reasons.
However, it is one's preference and opinion for all other matters concerning Twilight, just has you have yours.
If you found your true love and they broke your heart, would you take them back? Think about it, think how many real life situations, just an example, b/c i know this is not, where people do not. For whatever their own personal reasons may be, b/c they cheated, b/c they left them devasted, physically or financially. In real life, Jacob would be the "ok/safe" person, where one could still be happy. Everyone's true love is not what's "best" for them which is a story of real life, and majorly attributed to, what we love, Twilight. Humans are fical and extraordinary creatures, in real life. And I do believe that alot of ppl would chose Jacob, if it was them in that situation, regardless of how the story goes and why we love it.
And everything you have stated so far is "in your opinion." Except, of course, the statistics. Which I'm sure will change after NM comes out, in my opinion. I don't know if they will change in favor of Jacob, but perhaps more than 17% will be TJ. Nor did I mention that Bella should be w/ Jacob b/c he is human.
You are ranting for reasons I am unsure. I apologize that it is beyond your comprehension. I wish you luck on being able to comprehend such things in the future.

again this is the point im trying to make. its a fantasy novel. i do not read fantasy novels from a realistic point of view. What would be the point. Now of course you or anyone else have every right to do that if you choose to. However stephenie gave us twilight so that we can put ourselves in bella's shoes and get lost in bella's world. she did not give us twilight so that we can put it into pratice in real life situations. Because of course then jacob is the one. However don t you think then that stephenie would have paired bella and jacob.
This is why i said it's beyond my comprehension why people can t accept bella and edward. there are no such things as vampires in the realistic world. so no one will ever find themselves in bella's situation. but what's so wrong with bella being with a vampire(In a fantasy world). a vampire who loves her and she him. that's all im trying to say.

I understand perfectly your pov, and why you read fantasy, I did say, in reality, even though I know twi is not. I know your rant was not directed towards me, I was attempting to provide you w/ some insight, I am trying again, but I am concluding that may end in failure as well...
I have never looked at twi for more than what it is, an escape, fantasy, a love story, which invloves vampires and wolves, this I do not attest. I do not argue w/ how SM wrote it, I like it as is. I have never said Bella should end up w/ Jacob. Ever. I, personally, love how the story plays out, it would not be the same w/out it. However I did say maybe people are TJ b/c they like Jacob, not b/c bella should have chose him, but b/c they, themselves, would have chose him. There is no argument on that issue. They have their own reasons why and that they can chose to debate and many do.
... others can comprehend bella and edward, they choose not to agree w/ the pairing/ decision/ outcome, 2 very different things. And you nor anyone else should not have to understand anything. It just is. You may look at it from a very literal sense, others hypothetical with their justification.

and the only reason that jacob was in twilight(Which was a minor role) was because she needed to come up with a way for bella to learn edward's secret. edward could not reveal that he was a vampire. bella and edwards relationship could not develop/progress if they had secrets between them. so this is where jacob comes in. remember la push beach when jacob told bella the legends and about the cullens.
well now bella knows edwards secret without edward having to reveal it. jacob was a device, a tool so to speak, (and a big mouth at that. he knew he was not supposd to spill the beans. just kidding) that stephenie used for bella to learn edwards secret.

finally. im so sick of everyone changing teams. but this has proved that edward really is the best thing ever created.

Hes constantly pressuring Bella, and not thinking about whats best for her.
He only thinks about himself.
He doesn't want Bella to be with Edward cause he wants to be with her.
He doesn't want Bella to be a vampire cause he doesn't like vampires.
He knows bloody well that she'll be fine as a vamp so I don't want to hear the excuse that Jacobs worried about her.
He knows how much pain and confusion hes causing her but he doesn't give a f**k because hes a selfish boy.
Edward was with her first. She wants to be with Edward but Jacob can't seem to get that through his thick, idiotic head.
Don't start on "but Edward left". Yes, he DID. He did it with the best intentions and everything was resolved in the end. He is mature and he actually cares about Bellas feelings. He'd let Bella go with Jacob, but Jacob doesn't want Bella to go with Edward. Do not get me started on the kiss in the woods. Disgusting.
But I'm not blaming this all on Jacob. I wanted to strangle Bella too. Who cares about Jacobs pain. Let him deal with it. This 'love triangle' happens to a lot of people but they deal with it. Bella has the love of her life standing right infront of her, but she moans and bitches and runs off to keep her friend happy. She can't buck up the courage to tell Jacob to f**k off and stop being such a manipulative, abusive male. Yes, Edward wouldn't let her go see Jacob a few times, but who would blame him? And he did lighten up, but Jacob never did. And wolves are dangerous. One word: Emily. And Jacob nearly lost it a few times with Bella.
I do admit like I liked Jacob for a few pages @ the start of New Moon, when he was still human. But then he turned into horny, manipulative, pressuring and annoying little muscle man.
I agree that he helped Bella somewhat get out of her depression, but I still think she would've been okay without him.
Edward is smart, mature, cute, protective, caring, understanding, compassionate, blah blah etc.
+ Bella would've never been truely happy with Jacob
Bella marries Jake and has a normal life with a normal family (because Jake wants to age with her, so he stops transforming). But Bella will ALWAYS have a lingering sadness and distance from Jake because she'll have lost the only thing in life she every truly wanted. Once impacted, she could never go back. Jake deals with it for some years, but eventually get bitter over her inability to give that part of herself, that deep love, to him. This will eventually cause a strain on the marriage and either they will both drift away from each other, or Jacob will Imprint on someone and ultimately leave Bella, a sad and broken woman. NOW!! Aren't we ALL glad that Edward DID come back??!!
but even before that, had bella taken her friendship relationship with Jacob to the next level, the moment that Edward came back (And he had every intention of coming back) she would have dropped Jacob like a hot potato

bella said it perfectly in te book with her analogy to Romeo and Juliet. at some point she says something like "Juliet gets dumped and ends up with Paris would have never been a hit." ExB's love iis epic and magical, and if it was anything less this would not have been the penomenon that it is today because it wouldnt have been as special and it wouldnt have made millions of girs believe that their edward cullen was out there.

I had seen him in Vanity Fair, in the deleted scene, and I remember looking up his name afterward because I thought he was SO Pretty. Hahaha. That was my first inkling of the beauty that is Rob.
But my friend was sending me interviews before Twilight came out, and I just got hooked. I remember thinking if this cool, beautifu, adorable, smart and funny guy stars in this movie then it must be something haha.
Oh yes, he was very beautiful in VF, it's such a shame they didn't include his scenes in the movie, I bet they're sorry now lol.
I was just super excited when Stephenie announced on her website that Robert Pattinson would be playing Edward. I had been on the Lex (at the time, it was the place to be, lol) discussing all kinds of options with the other fans, and I don't remember ANYONE suggesting Rob.
and he turned out so perfect for this. Perfect (strike for this)!

I was happy with Rob's performance in the movie but I really became team Rob after seeing the (Empire?) interview (he wore a brown shirt, not completely sure which magazine?) sometime after movie came out--then the GQ interview!!! Swoon--I fell hard!
I became Team Rob when I saw the little scene they had on the Penelope DVD. That's STILL my favorite scene in the movie. Rob does such a good job there.
Yes, i remember the warm feeling I got the first time I saw that clip--I was so thrilled and so anxious for Twilight to come out.
I also loved the restaurant scene in port Angeles.. really felt the tension there.
I swear in November and December last year I thing I saw all of his interviews that were available...I just couldn't stop haha.
I love his radio interviews, some of them are even better that video ones...they are funnier.

and he is so intelligent about the character he portrays! He can go on and on about Edward. I also just saw an interview about "How to Be" and he spoke just as eloquently about Art. When he speaks about his music he is quite shy ...almost like he feels exposed. He just seems so real, has such a sweet sense of humor about himself. Anyways, lots of nice interview out there from last year.
Think I'll go back and rewatch some more--that'll keep me from watching that spoiler breakup scene (for today, anyway!)

Oh yeah, I know HTB interview. Sadly I think that is the only one on one interview he did for that movie. I loved how he explaied art and stuff he does.

I had read the series before the movie came out, so it's hard for me to be impartial toward the movie.
The romance and the relationship was so underwritten for the script. Now I have read the books several times and so enjoy this site!
Since the end of fall when i saw the movie. then read the books.
the funny thing is that i had the film on my computer for a couple of weeks. i didn´t want to watch it because i thought it was a horror movie. probably because i heard there were vampires.. hahaha!!. but one night i decided to watch it and i was blown away by it and then immedietly started looking more info about it.

i remember that when edward was missing school after the first biology lesson and when some worker was killed in that warehouse or something i thought it had something to do with Edward. but then later of course i knew he was the good one.
i actually thought that the movie was awesome. and i still like it. but after reading the books i knew that it was more different and that it could have been done better. but i think that i kinda like them both equally...i don´t know. haha

I remember watching the MTV movie awards and seeing twilight win every single award. and i heard rob with his accent and thought he was cute. So I decided to watch the movie because I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I rented it like a few days after the awards show and fell in loveeee. I know everyone complains about how bad the movie was, but the movie was good enough to make me want to read the books. (Btw, the moment I fell in love with Edward was in the movie scene at the Italian restaurant when he's talking to Jessica and Angela)
The day after watching the movie I bought all four books and read them in four days. Never have I ever cried like my heart was being ripped out from reading a book until I read New Moon. And now, I am obsessed. :)

i like what the polls represented, because i actually agree with the outcome of each one.
That being said they did say that most Twilight fans in this poll only became fans after seeing the first film and then read the books (myself included) so it is possible some people will change their minds after seeing New Moon. I don't believe that many will switch teams but I'm certain that some will.

I just love both the characters & the actors (although I do have my fav) who portray them. Why can't it just be team Vamp & team Wolf for those who want to choose a side? Labeling everyone under Edward & Jacob obviously doesn't do everyone justice since many love others.....It seems like we're the only series where many are divided...all well......sorry so long

And even if edward had never been in the picture, bella wouldnt have gotten so close to jake in the first place. the only reason she did fal in love with him was because she was so heartbroken from edward. It was really her sadness that brought them together. not fate.
and jacob, i never saw why people thought he was so great. he was younger than her and very immature and stubborn. He had no respect for people (look at the names he called edward) and he just wasnt right for her. people are only turning team jacob more now because the actor has got some serious abs. i personally dont see it at all. He actually came to my school before he started this whole twilight thing in my freshman year of high school. and my best friend used to be good friends with him. i didnt see anything in him then, and i dont now.
