I think Alan Rickman would be a great Volturi. I pray to God that they don't use the guy who played Caspian. I mean really....Prince Caspian as Aro?!? They could always consider the villan from Hellboy II. But who knows if Summit even pays attention to use lowly fans.

so yeah, johnny depp could pull off the scary stuff while still being hot :)

I do not think Dakota Fanning is a good choice because she is TOO Young. I think someone like Fairuza Balk from The Craft (she played the witch girl who went bizerko and power crazy) would be an excellent choice for Jane. I am re-reading New Moon right now.

i can bet she wood b g8, but mostly, the twilight saga cast is of people who r not well known well in movies and have been laying low 4 the past few years. I think that people might take it as a joke if she played jane shes 2 well known as a good actress now.

theyd be all like, "LOL ITS DAKOTA FANNING! HAHA THATS SOOOO FUNNY" and they might not take it as seriously and know her better as the sister from the cat in the hat than a serious, life threatining, devious vamire girl.

Other than that, i have no problem w/ her cause shes a good actress from wat ive heard. i dont watch her much. really i cant think of a better, or another, jane. she might be the best one.

Okay seriously people, enough about Johnny Depp (who is a double digit million a movie actor anyway), Alan Rickman, or any other A-list, makes a movie better than it is star. I agree that whoever plays the roles should be aspiring upcoming actors. IF and it is a HUGE IF they scrounged up enough money, after hiring Dakota Fanning to play Jane, to bring Jason Isaacs into it that would be someone who MIGHT not have the pull to take your mind out of the movie. Think about it... seriously.... Johnny Depp? are you kidding me? The movie would no longer matter, because you would instantly lose focus and concentrate on "OMG Johnny Depp is in this movie!!" Why not, while we are at it, hire The Rock to play one of them too! Oh! and Miley Cyrus can be Jane's super secret sister that no one saw coming! Oh! and Bring Chewbacca in just to really mix things up! Give me a break people. The first movie was good because the story line was the lead actor, everyone else was at most BARELY A-LIST. I think they need to stick to Actors that don't break focus.

Actually, they COULD cast Johnny Depp as one of the Volturi. He's a very talented actor, and, in my opinion, could pull off the role of a vampire. Who's to say that fans won't pay attention to the movie instead of Depp? I've seen several of his movies, and as much as I love the guy, I find myself focused more on the MOVIE than Depp himself. So, Depp WOULD be a good choice,.

Actually, it doesn't matter how good of an actor he is, you never hire actors that upstage the lead. And you're wrong, Johnny Depp is too recognizable for an almost cameo length appearance in an odd role. His five minute scene would be tainted by images of Jack Sparrow, Edward Scissorhands and that God-awful Willy Wonka abomination he did. If he had more time to develop himself into a strong character it wouldn't matter, but as it is, Johnny Depp doesn't have the screen time to transcend his recognizability. But non of that even matters, because you also never hire actors you can't pay, like the very expensive Johnny Depp.

Actually, the book said that Jane LOOKED like a child. And there was no specific age given, either. Besides, it doesn't matter who plays Jane or how old they are, as long as they do a good job and actually look the part. And if they don't look the part, then they'll just use a load of makeup.

True, but if you read several correspondences with Stephenie and the twilight lexicon (I'm sure there are people who haven't so this is for them) she states that the Volturi had their eyes on Jane and Alec but wanted to wait until they were older to change them. However the local villagers tried burning the twins at the stake for witchcraft and they had to intervene (slaughter the whole village) before they wanted to.
Jane and Alec are suppose to be youngish (midteens probably).

This Kristin Chenoweth cant play Jane, she's too old. Jane is supposed to be child like. Dakota Fanning is going to be perfect. She is a great actress and she's beautiful. As for Alec...well I think Cameron Bright would be perfect for this role. He has a eerie beauty that would fit well. When it comes to Aro, Caius, and Marcus...I wish we could see some big names like maybe a reunion with Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, and Antonio Banderas. The Volturi are supposed to have ancient looking skin but not really be old because they dont age. Ijut hope this movie is better than the first one.
